I was offered a scholarship from London Metropolitan University to carry out a research on climate change risks in an ever growing Portsmouth, conducted in a social science perspective. The research is part of the SECOA (Solutions for Environmental contrasts in COastals Areas), a 4-year European funded project, bringing together research from 8 different countries (Belgium, India, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, United Kingdom, and Vietnam). My personal interest when starting this research was to investigate the use of Participatory GIS in the real world.. which is what I attempted in Portsmouth. See my website for more information.
