LETTER FROM THE
PRESIDENT
Craig and Robin, since the beginning of your partnership with
World Help, you have always demonstrated a passion to help
those in need and introduce them to the love of Christ.
During the past 11 years, you have generously given —
individually and through your business, Chilton Logging, Inc. —
and raised more than $2,073,411 to deliver HELP and HOPE to
men, women, and children around the globe. That’s absolutely
incredible! You truly are changing the world, one person at a time.
You have rescued children from poverty, improved the health of
thousands, introduced girls to freedom, transformed an entire
village, and so much more. You have made an impact that will
outlive you and last for eternity.
Thank you for your tireless commitment and your faithful
dedication. So many families wouldn’t have hope today if it
weren’t for your generosity.

3. CHILD SPONSORSHIP
Y
ou have always had a special place in
your heart for the least of these — the
poor and underprivileged children
around the world. You are passionate about
investing in the generations to come through
child sponsorship. And in 2017, you helped
many kids in their moment of greatest need!
In addition to sponsoring kids in Guatemala,
India, and Nepal, you stepped in for children
who unexpectedly found themselves without a
sponsor. When a beloved donor and long-time
friend of World Help passed away, these kids no
longer had someone to advocate for them or
invest in their futures.
But because of your quick action, nearly
500 children were able to remain in
the sponsorship program and continue
receiving the essentials they need for a
brighter future.
Your support provides these kids with
necessities like clean water, healthy food,
medical care, and educational assistance. You
have rescued them from a life of poverty and
illness and played a crucial role in helping them
fulfill their potential.
Thank you for getting involved
and investing in the lives of
these children!

Y
ou have been a constant source of
support and encouragement to each of
your sponsored children. Evelin, Deiby,
Rony, Lalhmathuoi, and Himal are all grateful
that you are a part of their lives.
Through sponsorship, you have given
them the chance at a healthy life — and
the confidence to chase their dreams.
But more importantly than providing food,
medical care, and other critical needs, you
have let each of these children know that he or
she is loved.
Lalhmathuoi is a perfect example. After losing
both of his parents at a young age, he was
afraid and wondered how he would survive
with no one to care for him. Then, you became
his sponsor. Now, he is safe and happy and
dreaming of his future.
“I am thankful to my sponsors,
Robin and Craig Chilton, for
sponsoring me. Because of
their support and love, I have
courage to face my future. I
ask God that there will be more
people like my sponsors —
people whose lives overflow
with the love of Jesus and
touch people all around them.”

5. INDIA
I
n rural India, proper medical care can be
difficult to come by and even more difficult
to afford. But you provided two mobile
medical clinics that are bringing help to
countless people.
The people of Sagargram were overjoyed
when their community, located in the district
of Neemuch, was the first stop for the clinic. A
dentist and a doctor were able to perform a
number of general health exams and provide
over-the-counter medication to patients.
In the village of Panpur, the doctors were able
to provide vital care to 25 pregnant women and
mothers of small children — something they
had no access to before. The women were so
grateful to know that their kids were getting the
treatment they needed.
These clinics have also made a life-changing
difference for women and girls in the Banchara
community by providing medical care and
specific treatment for those infected with HIV.
Thank you for providing
emergency medical care
through these mobile clinics.

ou have also improved the health of
people in India in many other ways. By
giving clean water, you gave Kewat’s
family a new life!
Kewat and his family used to walk a long
distance to the nearest well. Because so many
people shared this well, it often ran dry. When
this happened, Kewat would have to spend
much of his small income to purchase water
from a private company. But now …
“My family is able to get clean drinking
water,” Kewat said. “This will save us
money, which is important to feed my
family. I am so thankful!”
In another part of India, you rescued a young
woman from the brink of death!
Nisha was scared when she felt pain in her lower
back. She had felt it before — not long before the
doctors told her they would have to remove her
kidney. Sure enough, she soon learned that her
one remaining kidney was failing.
Nisha’s mother volunteered to donate her
kidney, but they couldn’t afford the expensive
procedure … that is, until you stepped in. Today,
Nisha is healthy and extremely grateful for all
that you have done.

“Without the transplant I
would certainly have died.
For me, the gift of life has
been amazing.”

T
he residents of one leper colony in India
are still praising God for the beautiful
homes you provided for them when
their own society chose to ignore them.
Your compassion means that people like Sharda
have a place to live and hope for the future.
Sharda has lived in the leper colony for many
years, but when her husband died from leprosy,
she felt more hopeless than ever before. Her
own leprosy caused her great pain, and after
suffering serious burns on her hands, she could
no longer work.
Lepers are considered outcasts in India, and
she didn’t expect to receive any outside help.
How was she going to survive?
Then, you provided a place of hope and safety
for Sharda and others like her. Because of the
homes you built, Sharda has a home to call her
own and the help she needs.
When the homes were being built, she said
“Being a leper, this is impossible
for us to get this kind of home, but
I will be living in a very good home
which I never ever [could] dream
of in my life. I will get care and
everything I need. I want to say
thank you so much. ”

our gift of clean water has been life-
changing for one community in Nepal.
After the devastating earthquake of
2015, hundreds of people found themselves
homeless. They were relocated to a temporary
settlement, but there was a problem — there
was no clean water.
The community well was contaminated with iron
and made people sick when they drank water
from it. Their only other option was to walk long
distances to get the water they needed. Children

since they were often tasked with collecting the
water while their parents went to work.
Then, because of your generosity, the community
received a water filtration system, and everything
changed!
“We don’t need to worry about water for bathing,
drinking, and washing,” said Rahul, a father living
in the village. “We are separated from different
waterborne diseases by the help of this hygienic
drinking water. Our children can go to school in
time and do their assignments in time.
NEPAL
Thank you for improving the lives of
families like Rahul’s. Your support
has allowed them to rebuild their
lives even after losing everything
to a natural disaster.
“We are really thankful to all of the
helping hands that take their own
part in helping the world and the
people who are in need.”

9. THAILAND
I
n Thailand, girls bear the brunt of their
families’ financial responsibilities — often at a
horrible cost. From a young age, many are
forced to believe that, without an education,
their only option is to sell their bodies. They
spend their lives exploited and abused, unaware
of their own worth.
But by supporting a Freedom Home where
they can have a safe place to live and study,
you have helped young women regain
their freedom … and have shown them the
love of Jesus.
Suda, whose name we’ve changed to protect
her identity, has been sold five times — the first
when she was just 11 years old. She should have
been playing with friends and attending school.
Instead, Suda was considered property, and she
eventually ended up working in the red-light
district. Without an education, she would never
have a chance at freedom.
But because of your support, girls like Suda can
choose a better life. Suda became connected
with the Freedom Home where she received
an education and emotional support. Today,
she has completed high school and dreams of
attending college and starting a new career.
Your compassion for exploited girls
in Thailand is inspiring. By helping
support a Freedom Home, you are
enabling them to dream of a
brighter future.

10. REFUGEE RELIEF
T
he people living in refugee camps today
never dreamed they would have to flee
their homes. Then, senseless violence
stole everything from them — even food, clean
water, and durable clothing.
But you made sure countless refugee
families had the essentials they needed to
survive. You helped restore their dignity
and showed them they are not forgotten.
Serkan, whose name we’ve changed for safety, lost
his wife in a bomb explosion near Mosul. He was
left to care for their children on his own, and he
couldn’t even afford to buy them milk. “My children
have lost the right of having a mother; I don’t want
them to lose their health, too,” Serkan said.
But your gifts helped provide the necessities
refugees need. In Serkan’s case, the healthy
food he received helped keep his children alive
and healthy.
Thank you for helping refugees who
once felt alone and were almost on
the brink of death. You have helped
save lives.

11. GUATEMALA
G
uatemala is one of the poorest countries
in the world, but thanks to you, numerous
families there now have hope. You didn’t
just transform the village of Potreritos, Zacapa;
you transformed the lives of the people living
in this community.
Families in the village now have clean water to
drink. Children have a new playground to enjoy
and a repaired school to learn in. And the local
church has a beautiful new building where they
can gather and worship.
Your generosity has also introduced vital nutrition
into families’ diets by providing them with food
bags and investing in sustainable fruit trees that
will produce healthy food for years to come.
Thank you for caring enough to
provide a complete revitalization
of this village — both physically
and spiritually.

12. UGANDA
C
hrist the King Church in Uganda is
a powerful testimony of how your
investments are providing more than just
help for today … you are also providing eternal
hope for tomorrow.
When Pascal, a little Ugandan boy, first received
a child sponsor and later had the opportunity to
tour with the Children of the World International
Children’s Choir, he had no idea God would
eventually use him to start a church that would
affect hundreds of people.
But just a few years later, there he was — along
with several other Children of the World alumni
— playing his bass guitar and leading the
congregation of Christ the King in worship.
Because of you, Christ the King
Church now has a building so
members can worship together
and minister together to their
community in Uganda.
23
13. UGANDA
W
hat began as 100 people gathered
under a tent quickly grew into
something much larger. Many
orphans, impoverished families, and those
affected by the Lord’s Resistance Army
found the hope they were looking for at
Christ the King.
Soon, there was no more room under the tent.
That’s when you stepped in.
The congregation of Christ the King now
worships each Sunday in the building you
provided. And they still have plenty of room
to grow.
Thank you for giving a young champion for
Christ like Pascal a place and a platform where
he can serve his community and spread the
Good News.
“This is only the beginning.
More is yet to come when the
Word of God shall come to
fulfillment in my life as I
spread the Word in Uganda.”
Pascal
Craig and Robin, your concern for “the least of these” is
apparent in the projects you’re so passionate about.
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus.

14. ZIMBABWE
The boys and girls at Smile for Africa
Honours Academy in Zimbabwe continue
to benefit from the school building you
provided through your fundraising efforts.
Because of you, children like Alice now have a
safe place to learn and grow.
Alice was 7 years old when she first started going
to school. But to get to class, she had to walk
more than six miles every day — a dangerous
journey for a child her age. Still, she kept going.
She loved learning.
Unfortunately, her parents couldn’t afford to pay
her tuition for very long. It broke her heart when
she had to drop out of school.
But you helped answer her prayers with your
support of Smile for Africa Honours Academy.
Now, she has to walk only a short distance
to school, and she can concentrate on her
education and achieving her goal of becoming
a nurse someday.
Your support of education in
Zimbabwe is not only affecting
children today ... it is providing
opportunities for future generations.
