4. Luisa Piccarreta
Born in Corato, Italy, on April 23,1865.
At the age of 9, Luisa received her first Communion and
Confirmation. She began to hear Jesus’ voice in her interior.
At the age of 13, she had her first vision of Jesus crowned with
thorns and carrying the Cross. Jesus looked up at her and implored,
“Soul, help Me!”
At the age of 16, she accepted the state of victimhood, suffering and
reparation for all humankind, a state that lasted 64 years.
At the age of 23, she experienced the Mystical Marriage with Jesus
(on earth)
5. At the age of 24, she experienced the Mystical
Marriage with Jesus (in heaven). Jesus took possession of
her heart and started dwelling within her.
The next day, she experienced the Spiritual Marriage
of the Cross where she received the invisible stigmata
(visible on some occasions).
At the age of 34, her Confessor, Don Gennaro di
Gennaro, ordered Luisa to write everything that
occurred between Jesus and her. Luisa wrote 36
volumes of the “Book of Heaven”.
At the age of 35, she had her fourth Mystical Marriage.
This time Luisa took possession of the Heart of Jesus
and fully received the Gift of the Divine Will.
7. Extraordinary Events
For 64 years, a Catholic priest had to visit Luisa daily to
bring her back to life as she would fall into a state of
petrification overnight. Her lifeless body could not be
moved as she turned into a “huge block of stone.” Once
the priest imparted his blessing, Luisa would come back
to life. Otherwise, she would remain petrified until the
priest came to bless her.
From the time she was 13, Luisa survived only on the
Holy Eucharist. If she ate something, it would come out
intact.
At her death, Luisa’s body did not show any signs of
Rigor Mortis or “stiffness”.
8. Luisa’s Legacy
36 volumes of her diary entitled “Book of Heaven” written
between 1899 and 1938. Her diary contains more than
2,500 lessons from Jesús regarding His Most Holy Will.
The book, “The Hours of the Passion of our Lord Jesus
Christ”, dictated by Our Lord about his inner sufferings
and reparations during the last 24 hours of His life.
The book, “The Virgin Mary in the Kingdom of the
Divine Will”, dictated by Our Blessed Lady.
The book, “The Rounds of the Soul in the Divine Will”
Christmas Novena, Prayers, Letters.
9. Luisa’s confessor for 17 years
and censor of her writings.
Published “Hours of the
Passion” and “Virgin Mary”.
Prior to his death in 1927, St.
Hannibal provides his Nihil
Obstat and Imprimatur from Arch.
Joseph Leo for the first 19
Volumes of the “Book of
Heaven”.
In 1936, the Vatican collects all
of Luisa’s writings and locks
them in the Vatican’s Library of

Saint Hannibal Maria di Francia
10. Cause of Beatification of Luisa
On November 20, 1994, Archbishop Carmelo Cassati
opened the cause for beatification and the writings were

opinion, and approved the writings of Luisa.

Pichierri concluded the cause and submitted for final

11. What is the Divine Will?
In the beginning, God created Adam to His image
and likeness, and Adam possessed the same will as
God, the Divine Will.
With original sin, Adam lost his connection to the
Divine Will and started acting out of his own will.
After 2,000 years of daily recitation of Our Lord’s
Prayer, God grants us the Gift of Living in the
Divine Will in response to “thy will be done on
earth, as it is in heaven.”
12. What is the Divine Will?
After Adam, only Our Blessed Mother and Jesus possessed and lived in the
Divine Will.
Luisa, conceived with original sin, is chosen by God as the first creature to
receive the Gift of Living in the Divine Will. Once the Gift is given to one, it
is available to all who wish to receive it.
Jesus calls this new era, the Kingdom of the Divine Will on Earth, the FIAT
of Sanctification, the FIAT of the Holy Spirit which is the FIAT
VOLUNTAS TUA, SICUT IN CAELO ET IN TERRA.
God brings forth the knowledge of His Divine Will thru the writings of Luisa
(really they are Jesus’ own writings). Luisa’s writings provide the knowledge
necessary to acquire the Gift and live in the Divine Will on earth.
So, how does one receive this Gift?
13. How does one receive the Gift?
To receive this Gift, you must:
1. Learn all about “the Gift” thru Luisa’s writings. The knowledge
is the foundation of the Gift.
2. Desire it with all your heart, mind and soul; and continuously call
for it. Ask for the Gift “on loan” to pray and perform all of your
actions with it.
3. Prepare yourself to receive the gift. Live in grace, practice the
sacraments, live the “Hours of the Passion”.
4. Die to “Yourself ” (to your own human will) to live in the Divine
Will (Jesus in you).
5. Desire admits, Knowledge advances, Virtue anchors, Life
actualizes it.
14. Most Effective Means to Acquire the Gift
The “Hours of the Passion” is the most effective
means to fuse with Jesus and receive the graces for
the Gift.
The “Virgin Mary” provides the lessons from Our
Lady to prepare us to receive the Gift.
The “Divine Will Prayer Book” teaches you to
pray in an “eternal” way and in the Divine Will.
The “Book of Heaven” provides the knowledge to
acquire the Gift of Living in the Divine Will.
