NABUWWAT النبيء مأخوذ ومشتق من النبأ وهو الخبر عن الله تعالى، لأن الله أخبره بتوحيده وأطلعه على غيبه وأعلمه أنه نبيء والنبي هو المخبر قال تعالى عَمَّ يَتَسَاءلُونَ * عَنِ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ النبأ : 1- 2 RESALAT والرسول : لغة : المُرْسل . وهو الذي يتابع أخبار الذي بعثه (PROPHETHOOD) LINGUISTIC & APPLIED DEFINITION
5. RISALAT (Prophet Hood) has been the channel of communication between Allah and mankind. Allah, the Creator has not left man without guidance for the conduct of his life. Since the beginning of creation, He has sent down His guidance through selected people to convey it to their fellow men. These chosen people are called prophets and messengers . The chain of Risalat began with Adam (PBUH), included Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Lot, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Jesus, and ended with Muhammad (PBUH).

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NABI & RASOOL أنّ الرسولَ هو من بُعِثَ بشريعة خاصّةٍ به و بأمّته ، أمّا النبيُّ فيُبلّغ شريعة رسولٍ قَبلَه و على كلا القولين فإنّ الرسول أخصّ من النبي إذ إنّ كلّ رسولٍ نبيّّّ ليس كلّ نبيٍّ رسولاً أن الرسول من أوحي إليه بشرع جديد . والنبي هو المبعوث لتقرير شرع قبله . روح المعاني للآلوسي 17/157 و الله أعلم
7. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NABI & RASOOL A RASOOL is a Prophet who received a new SHARIAT (Divine Law) and Book from Allah. A NABI follows the SHARIAT of a RASOOL or a Prophet before him. All the RASOOLS were NABIS but not all NABIS were RASOOLS .

HOW MANY PROPHETS? وما روي أنه صلى الله عليه وسلم سئل عن الأنبياء فقال : مائة ألف وأربعة وعشرون ألفاً ثم اخبر عليه وسلم صلى الله ثلاثمائة وثلاثة عشر جماً غفيراً أن الرسل منهم Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal in his Musnad has mentioned a Hadith (no. 21257) that Allah sent 124, 000 Prophets (Anbiya') and from among them 313 were the Messengers (rusul).

11. UNIVERSALITY OF PROPHETHOOD We did raise a messenger among every people (An-nahl,36 ) CHARACTERISTICS OF PROPHETHOOD
13. BELIEF IN ALL PROPHETS 152. And those who believe in Allah and His Messengers and make no distinction between any of them (Messengers), We shall give them their rewards,
14. SPEAK ACCORDING TO REVELATION 3. Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. 4. It is only an Inspiration that is inspired
15. (Abraham:10) "We are no more than human beings like you, 110. Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I am only a man like you. ALL THE PROPHETS WERE HUMAN BEINGS
16. LEGISLATOR & JUDGE 105. Surely, We have sent down to you (O Muhammad SAW) the Book (this Qur'ân) in truth that you might judge between men by that which Allah has shown you (i.e. has taught you through Divine Inspiration),
17. EXPLAINER OF BOOKS.1 157 he commands them for Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained); and forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden);
18. (157) EXPLAINER OF BOOKS.2 he allows them as lawful At-Taiyibât [(i.e. all good and lawful) as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.], and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khabâ'ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.),
19. PRACTICAL MODEL 31. Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): "If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur'ân and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins.
20. 95. Say: "If there were on the earth, angels walking about in peace and security We should certainly have sent down for them from the heaven an angel as a Messenger." WHY PROPHETS WERE HUMAN BEINGS?
