- Top 10 slide presentation tips, based on article by Garr Reynolds.
- Keep it simple. Try to avoid “busy” images or background for a slide.
- Try not to put a lot of texts on one slide. Also less text and bullet points are better. Make it simple and readable as possible.
- Limit animation and transitions to avoid destruction of the presentation.
- Avoid blur graphics. The clear and high quality graphics are better.
- Be original. Audiences will get bored, if you use typical powerpoint templates and you would likely lose attentions.
- Choose charts wisely. It’s better to use bar, pie and column charts to show the datas.
- Color does matter in a presentation. Choose a color that appropriate for theme of a presentation.
- Choose font that’s easy to read and see. You don’t want to make your font too fancy that audiences can’t even read.
- To entertain or keep the audiences’ atttentions, insert a video clip would help.
- After you put all the informations on the slides, you would likely to go back and organize to see if it makes sense for your presentation.
