Digital Academy gets donation

The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation has received a $7,500 donation from AT&T to be
used for the Findlay Digital Academy, the city school district's online program.
The money will be used to provide every academy student with a post-graduation career plan. Students
will complete a career-interest survey and then align possible careers with their interests. They will
investigate the education required for that career and where they can study.
A mentor will help students develop a resume, learn job interview skills, and develop the skills to fill out
college applications.
"Keeping our teenagers in high school and preparing them for success after graduation benefits our
students and our communities," said Dennis Hellmann, external affairs director, AT&T Ohio. "The Findlay
Digital Academy has a proven graduation strategy that is helping at-risk youth stay in school and succeed
academically. We are proud to support this program."
