  1. SLIDE 1: GOOD MORNING EVERYONE. THROUGHOUT THIS SEMESTER I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON REVAMPING PNC’S BRAND AND HAVE COME UP WITH A FEW IDEAS THAT I CAN USE TO TAKE THIS PRESENTATION TO THE NEXT LEVEL. I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY.
  2. SLIDE 2: Let’s first start off with identifying PNC’s strongest target audience. I feel that if they shift gears and make their main target audience college students, they will turn out to be more successful. College students have a big influence over the general public and represent a huge area of potential PNC adopters. How PNC can do this is by hosting college events on campus to spread the word about their products and get their brand out there more. They can also offer incentives for the students that sign up for their products.
  3. SLIDE 3: Moving on to PNC’s social media presence. I believe that PNC has made great strides in brand recognition however I think they can get more people interested in their brand by taking to Facebook more to get influencers to speak on how PNC has helped them to live better lives through the use of their products and services.
  4. SLIDE 4: I BELIEVE PNC SHOULD ALSO ADVERTISE MORE ON OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS SUCH AS TWITTER AND INSTAGRAM. TWITTER WOULD BE USED TO TARGET EXISTING CUSTOMERS AND THEIR FOLLOWERS OF ALL DIFFERENT AGES BY HAVING THEIR FOLLOWERS CREATE PNC HASHTAG ADS OF THEM HOLDING UP THEIR INDIVIDUAL HASHTAG AND SMILING TO SAY PNC FOR EVERY AGE AND STAGE, WHICH WOULD THEN BE FOLLOWED BY A LINK TO THE OFFICIAL PNC PRODUCT PAGE. INSTAGRAM WOULD ALSO BE BENEFICIAL BECAUSE PNC COULD CREATE A VIDEO AD OF EXISTING CUSTOMERS ALL GOING THROUGH DIFFERENT PHASES OF THEIR LIVES PASSING ALONG THE PNC CARD TO THE NEXT PERSON IN THE AD AS THEY GO THROUGH A DIFFERENT MILESTONE OR ADVENTURE. THOUGH THE USE OF THESE OUTLETS WOULD BE BENEFICIAL, I WOULD NOT SUGGEST ADVERTISING ON YOUTUBE.
  5. SLIDE 5: PNC HAS WENT MOBILE! HOWEVER I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT THEY REVAMP THEIR MOBILE PAGE BY PUTTING MORE ENGAGING ARTICLES ON THE FRONT PAGE THAT WOULD MAKE PEOPLE WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS. FOR EXAMPLE THEY COULD SHOW HOW THEIR BRAND IS REACHING PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES OR HOW THEY ARE HELPING THE NEEDY. THIS WOULD HELP THEM AS A BRAND BECAUSE PEOPLE WANT TO SEE HOW OTHERS ARE MAKING USE OF A PRODUCT BEFORE THEY TRY IT OUT.
  6. SLIDE 6: IN ORDER TO GAUGE HOW SUCCESSFUL THESE INITIATIVES ARE, I RECOMMEND THAT PNC MONITOR’S HOW MANY USERS SEARCH FOR THEIR SITES AND PRODUCTS SPECIFICALLY. THEY NEED TO MONITOR THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA TO SEE HOW MANY OF THEIR FOLLOWERS HAVE VISITED THEIR SITE AND SIGNED UP FOR THEIR PRODUCTS. IT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL TO CREATE A TIMELINE OF ONE MONTH AFTER EACH CAMPAIGN TO MONITOR HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE SIGNED UP FOR THEIR PRODUCTS OR RECOMMENDED THEIR PRODUCTS TO OTHERS.
  7. SLIDE 7: NOW WITH EVERY GREAT IDEA, THERE NEEDS TO BE A BUDGET SET IN PLACE. WITHIN THIS BUDGET WOULD INCLUDE CAMPUS EVENTS THAT WOULD INCLUDE INCENTIVES FOR THOSE THAT SIGN UP FOR PNC PRODUCTS, SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING WITH PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF THEIR CURRENT CUSTOMERS, MONITORING HOW MANY PEOPLE VISIT THEIR SITE OR SEARCH FOR THEIR PRODUCTS, AND THE REVAMPING OF THE MOBILE SITE TO INCLUDE MORE ENGAGING CONTENT. IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS MARKETING STRATEGY AS COST EFFECTIVE AS POSSIBLE, I WOULD USE GOOGLE ALERTS, WHICH WOULD MONITOR HOW MANY PEOPLE SEARCH FOR THEIR SITE OR PRODUCTS, COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE. THE ACTUAL BUDGET WOULD BE SET AT 3.5 MILLION TO COVER EVERYTHING ELSE BECAUSE ACCORDING TO THE CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU, BANKS SPEND ON AVERAGE 5.5 MILLION ON AWARENESS ADVERTISING. MY BUDGET WOULD BE A LOT LESS BECAUSE IT WILL ONLY BE USED TO UPGRADE THE VALUE THAT THEIR BRAND ALREADY BRINGS.
  8. SLIDE 8: So here is the big idea to sum all of this madness up in one big adventure. PNC’s main target audience I will focus on for their brand is college students and how I will do that is by hosting college recruiting events on campuses around the U.S to promote brand awareness as well as offer incentives for those that sign up for accounts on the spot. I will promote video and photo ads on popular social media sites such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram where college students hang out to spread the message and get real live interaction.
  9. SLIDE 9: Along with social media branding for PNC, I will also revamp PNC’s mobile site by adding more engaging content and real life stories of how their customers are making their lives better by using PNC products. Through these digital marketing strategies, PNC will grow by making their brand appeal to college students and show them how valuable it will be to have a PNC account. I believe these efforts will also help grow the brand by showing students how others like them are finding value in their products and promoting ease of use.  
  10. SLIDE 10: IN CONCLUSION, THE ULTIMATE GOAL IS FOR PNC TO OBTAIN 1000+ NEW CUSTOMERS EACH MONTH AS A RESULT OF THE NEW MARKETING STRATEGIES. THIS WILL DETERMINE IF THESE INITIATIVES ARE A SUCCESS OR IF WE NEED TO STEP IT UP A NOTCH. THANK YOU ALL FOR LISTENING. ANY QUESTIONS?
