The mission is clear – serve the SAP business apps portfolio. MIA where innovative PaaS and developer strategies. No ABAP. Good to see HANA Cloud. One of three developer conferences of SAP, this was the Barcelona edition (Las Vegas has happened, Bangalore fill follow in November). Attendance seemed to be lower, but influencers there in force. Top Takeaways • SAP debuts the Business Technology Platform (BTP) • A TechEd that often felt more like a Sapphire • HANA (finally) debuts as a SaaS service with HANA Cloud • All is new in BI – Data Warehouse Cloud, Analytics and even BO.

One of three developer conferences of SAP, this was the Barcelona edition (Las Vegas has happened, Bangalore fill follow in November). Attendance seemed to be lower, but influencers there in force. Top Takeaways • SAP debuts the Business Technology Platform (BTP) • A TechEd that often felt more like a Sapphire • HANA (finally) debuts as a SaaS service with HANA Cloud • All is new in BI – Data Warehouse Cloud, Analytics and even BO.
