2. Prepare a two-minute script describing in detail “interesting” facts about the person you chose or you were assigned. Remember to write your script in the first person narrative… as if you were the character.
3. Create a costume that represents the type of clothing your famous person would have worn.
4. Bring a “prop” that symbolizes an important event in the person’s life.
6. Make a name plate that spells the person’s full name, correct birth date, place of birth, and when applicable date of death.
7. Memorize your monologue. Practice performing your monologue using feeling and emotion. Speak with expression and gestures as if you were the historical person doing the talking. Dress Rehearsal Due: 8th December
8. Make an invitation for family and friends giving the date, time and location of the Living Museum. (We will do this part in class.)

26. Speeches….Written Report Template<br />“Hi, I’m Juan Ponce de Leon. I was born on 1460 in Santervas, Spain.<br />I was born to a noble family, but they were very poor. So I chose military as a way to be successful. While I was working as a soldier, I heard about Christopher Columbus’s expedition. Inspired by this, I changed my job to explorer and joined Columbus’s second expedition.<br />After participating in Columbus’s second expedition, I didn’t return to Spain and settled in ‘Santo Domingo’ as a governor. However, I was deprived my position sent back to Spain due to the brutality to the neighbor island. <br />Supported by Spanish nobility, I was told to take the island of ‘Bimini’ in the Bahamas to search for riches and the fountain of youth. During this expedition, I discovered the Gulf Stream, which greatly helped to speed up sea travel in the Atlantic Ocean. This ocean has become very important for Spanish people to travel from Europe to America.<br />I was the first explorer who landed in Florida and named Florida. There is a statue of me located in St. Augustine, Florida, USA. And there is also a holiday to celebrate me, which is Pascua Florida Day on April 2, which is a legal holiday in Florida.<br />After I completed my expedition and on the way back to Spain, there had been a fight between explorers and Native American. I was killed during the fight by poison arrow.<br />When you think of me, remember as a person who discovered the Gulf stream and found the Florida.<br />Now I have time for two questions:<br />
