Jan Husdal has since February 2012 served as a Resilience Adviser with the Southern Region office of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen Region sør) in Arendal, Norway. His job is to oversee that the state-managed road network is planned, built, operated and maintained so that it can function 24/7/365, and thus ensure societal safety and societal security, i.e. resilience.
