Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) June 19, 2012 -- The Nintendo Wii U may well be the best platform on which to play
the soon to be released Assassin’s Creed III, thanks to the console’s unique GamePad controller which features
a built-in screen.
Assassincreed3.org, the leading online tips and news resource for the new game, can reveal that the unique
screen on the Nintendo Wii’s GamePad will provide gamers with a far more streamlined gaming experience, as
the game’s developers have decided to use this screen as an inventory and map at all times.
Such a feature will give Nintendo Wii players a distinct advantage over players using different consoles, such
as the PS3 or the Xbox, as their controllers do not have this capability.
Dan Lim, senior editor of Assassincreed3.org, explained the advantages of the feature in an interview earlier
this week:
“Obviously, considering that Assassin’s Creed III is such a large, open-world game and the expanses that
gamers have to deal with are so enormous – having a map on hand at all times is going to be a tremendous
advantage. Don’t forget, this is the biggest Assassin’s Creed game so far, and the map will prove invaluable for
gamers as they attempt to navigate the game area. The map on the GamePad screen will also be bigger than
before, allowing players to see more of what’s going on around them.”
Dan Lim explained that the map will give Nintendo Wii players a big advantage in combat situations during the
game:
“The advantage in combat situation is that, gamers will be able to easily access their weapons and other tools on
the controller itself. This means they’ll be able to easily switch between weapons such as a knife or a tomahawk
, without needing to access a menu.”
Assassincreed3.org can also reveal that there will be a new combat move in the game, called the ‘running
assassination’. Using the technique, players will be able to kill multiple enemies in one fell swoop, charging at
them and attacking with multiple weapons.
However, Dan Lim warned that there are a few elements that count against the Nintendo Wii version of
Assassin’s Creed III.
The most obvious of these is that so far, makers Ubisoft have yet to announce either a release date or a price tag
for the game. In addition, the expectation is that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game will have superior
graphics than the Wii U version, although this remains to be seen.
