Evidence of pitch
• When conducting my pitch it was recorded on a camera. This will help me for further
reference as it allows me to look back on the presentation and view my strengths and
weaknesses based on my feedback and what I can see from the video. Once I completed my
pitch I was given a witness statement from the head publisher. On it it outlined the main
areas where I had to improve as well as where I was at my strongest. I have used the feed
back I have gained to make the improvements I need to make the pitch even better.
Environment of presentation
• I have taken several images of the environment where I presented my pitch to the publishers.
I used a smart board in the center of the room to project the prezi presentation onto. The
publishers were suited around on the edge around the room, this made it much easier to see
both the presentation as well as me presenting it instead of them being close and having to
turn their head every time I speak. I also used a slide changer when changing my slides, this
allowed me to stay in one place when presenting my pitch instead of having to move every
time I wanted to change slide on the pitch.
Survey monkey- question 1
The first question on the survey
helps me to identify what age
range from my audience answered
the questions. This helps me a lot
as this is the age range that my
festival is aiming at and if I am able
to please them, I will be able to
please the majority of my target
audience which will in turn make
the festival successful.
Survey monkey- question 2
This question helps me to identify
which gender of the audience
responded to my questions. This
is useful because it shows which
gender of my audience is
interested in the festival and for
future reference what kind of
music would appeal to them as
they will be the majority of the
audience.
Survey monkey- question 3
This question is useful for me as
it helps to identify if the poster
is aesthetically pleasing to the
audience. This also helps that
the poster is eye catching and
may help in bringing in more of
an audience for the day of the
festival.
Survey monkey- question 4
Question 4 helps me as it
identifies what areas of the
poster can be improved and how
to make it more aesthetically
pleasing to the audience and
attract more customers to the
event. It also helps me to
identify on what areas I need to
improve on in my own poster
making skills as then I will be
able to create a poster in the
future and have no flaws to that.
Survey monkey- question 5
This questions helps me to
identify what was the best part
of the poster. This is useful to
me because it helps to show
what needs the least
improvement to the poster and
what are my strong points
when creating it. Therefore, this
means that I can put in less
amount of work on that feature
then on other parts of a poster.
Survey monkey- question 6
This question helps me as it
goes into more depth on
why that was the best
feature which in turn will
allow me to identify what
the reason behind why it is
the best feature. It also helps
for future reference as then I
will be able to put less time
in creating that feature then
other features of the poster
as said previously.
Survey monkey- question 7
This is question is useful to
me as it helps to identify
whether or not it is actually
convincing people to go to
the festival. This is also
useful due to the fact it
shows that through my work
it is aesthetically pleasing
and am able to recreate a
similar style for other
projects.
Survey monkey- question 8
This is useful for me due to the
fact that it will help me identify
what I will need to include on
the poster so that for the future
when I create another poster for
a festival, it will be more
appealing to the audience which
in turn will help draw in a bigger
audience for the festival the
poster will be advertising for.
Witness statement
This is the witness statement I got from the examiner. This helps me to identify what I
have done well in and what I am needing to improve upon. This is also useful for future
reference as it means that when I create another poster in the future I can use the
feedback I have gotten and create a poster that will have no flaws to it.
Campaign message
• My advertising campaign is aimed at those who are in their teens
and consider themselves to be outgoing and energetic. This is
due to the fact that the music that will be played at the festival
will consist mainly of electric as well as pop which was typically
played at around the 2010’s where most teens would have
started to get more interested in music. The message I am trying
to get across to the audience about the festival is make them
come and see it through making the poster very eye catching
through the use of bright colours. The choice of media in which
my campaign message is broadcasted on is both through printed
posters and online. This is due to the fact that almost everyone is
online now and would have social media accounts and if they are
wanting to get as many people to attend the festival as possible,
I'm going to have to update to mainly broadcasting on social
media instead of relying on just print based advertisements.
Production plan
Production plan continued
Equipment cost
Office space £1,500 (per 2 months)
Apple macbook (x9) £11,691
Adobe CS6 master collection £6433.54
Desks (x9) £855
Chairs(x9) £405
printer £40
Camera £549
Pens (x 10) £10
paper £6.99
On this table, these are the basic necessities in starting company that are for
9 people that will help with organizing the creating of a festival. Even though
it may be very expensive they are needed to for the magazine to be
successful and to pull in more buyers.
Risk assessment
• Permission- I will need to get the permission of both the
artist as well as the model of the photo to be able to use
the image in my magazine that they have taken so that if
I do use it, I will not be prosecuted for copy right use and
plagiarism. In order to be able to use the images I had to
sign a document saying that the images will only be used
for the magazine and nothing else otherwise I can be
prosecuted for inappropriate use.
• Area assessment- when scouting the location for the
background of the images I will need to take in an
account whether or not it is a safe place to take photos
at. This is because if the model is injured during the
photo-shoot I can be sued for compensation to the
model and potentially loose a lot of money in the
process. That is why it is very important to find a place
where it is safe to take place and not have a chance of
there being a risk of injury. The pace where the photos
were taken was a safe place with no dangerous objects
being around allowing a successfully photo-shoot to take
place
Software risk assessment
Resizing an image- when resizing an image hold
down shift and it will allow the image to not
pixelate which can cause the image to look
unprofessional. If you do not do this it can
affect the quality of the image and will have to
repeat the process of resizing your own image.
Eye dropper tool – this will allow you to keep a
consistent colour throughout the magazine and
will allow you to not get a different shade of the
same colour which when printed out can affect
the whole magazine entirely.
Colour swatches- by using colour swatches you
will be able to find the colour you are using
most often very quickly which will help reduce
the chance of getting a different shade of the
colour.
Calendar events
• Nothing is happening on this day therefore it is a
perfect time to release the poster to the public. If it
were to be released on a day with an event on it
would restrict sales as people would be more
focused on going to that event and would not notice
the poster of the festival that would be located
around the area.
Legal and ethical
• Copyright- is when there is a legal right which lasts for a few years so you can’t
print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic or musical material that
already exists. This means that if I take images from anyone without their
permission I could get prosecuted for plagiarism. This can also be used for my own
benefit as it is a system that protects me from having my own images used for
another format without my permission allowing me to prosecute them and get
money from it.
• IPSO- for my poster, I need to make sure that it follows the editors code and does
not breach it. If there is some material that would be considered commercially
sensitive then it needs to be brought to the regulator's attention so the content
can be handled so that it can be seen by the public without concern. Furthermore,
I would need to reframe from including any content that could be considered
harassment, racist or a breach in personal privacy otherwise it can affect the music
publisher.
My final poster design
This is my final poster design for the
festival I have designed it for. The
reason I have designed it in this way
is because I like how the ink into the
water has created a sort of
psychedelic look to it which is what
the vibe of any festival is like. This will
hopefully make it become more eye
catching to the audience allowing to
bring in a bigger crowd to the event.
Survey monkey
• Here is the survey whichgave the feedback I
needed in order to improve my poster
• https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WB2SRP2
Conclusion
• This Learning Outcome focuses on the
feedback and improvement of the final poster
design as well as how well I pitched the
presentation of it. This in turn helps me to
identify on what areas I need to improve on
and what areas I am successful in, therefore
when I create another poster in the future
there will be less flaws in it and be able to
attract a huge audience.
