Lesson Plan in Principles of Teaching II
(Content-Based Instruction)
I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
a. define what content-based instruction is
b. share the importance of content-based instruction
c. make their own lesson plan using content-based instruction
II. Subject Matter:
-Topic: Models of Integration and Sample Lesson Plan
Source: pp. 61-65
Materials: visual aids, hand-outs
III. Learning Tools:
A. Activities:
Charades
Selected students will act the words and their classmates will guess
-models
- integration
-instruction
-lesson plan
-content
-language
B. Analysis:
Engage the students in discussion by answering the following questions:
-As educators, what do you think is the importance of integration of subjects in the
teaching-learning process?
C. Abstraction:
-The students will define what content-based instruction is all about.
D. Application:
The students will make their own lesson plan using content-based instruction.
E. Assignment:
Search for the advantages and disadvantages of content-based instruction
