any act, by disorderly conduct

apprehension or fear or shame or embarrassment

playing practical jokes on, or

rooms, etc.

Robbing juniors of money and valuables
depriving them of regular food at hostels.

Ragging breaks one’s psyche, destroys the self esteem and
often results in long term psychological problems.
