Task 1: Filter the artifacts in a module
Just as you can filter artifacts at the project level, you can filter artifacts that are in a module. In this task, you filter
artifacts to create a module-level view of accepted artifacts that have not been prioritized yet.
1. You are in the lab environment All Projects page of the RM application (https://jazz-
server:9443/rm/web). You are logged in as bob with password bob.
2. Navigate to the Automated Meter Reader (Water) project Artifact page. Hint: In the My Projects section,
find the JKE Banking (Requirements Management) project and click Show Artifacts.
3. At the project level, click Automated Meter Reader (water) > 01 Requirements. All of the contents of this
folder are displayed in the content pane. As you select the folder, note how many artifacts are displayed in the
table.
4. Find the AMR System Requirements Specification artifact, and hover over it. Note that this artifact is of the
Module format.
Figure 1: The rich hover shows information about the artifact
5. Open the artifact by clicking on its ID.
6. Note how many artifacts are contained within the module.
7. Click Filter by Attribute.
8. Select the Accepted attribute. If that attribute is not on the list create it:
a. Next to More attributes, click the green Create filter icon.
Figure 2: The Create filter icon
b. From the Select attribute list, select Accepted.

9. Set the value of attribute to is True.
Figure 3: The Accepted attribute is set to “is True”
10. Click Apply. Artifacts that are not accepted are filtered out of the list. Note how many artifacts are displayed
now.
11. Add a filter to display attributes that do not have a priority value set. You can add this filter in either of two
ways:
 Add a filter for the Priority attribute where that attribute is set to does not exist.
 Add a filter for the Priority attribute where that attribute is not any of these values: Low, Medium,
High.
Figure 4: Two way to filter artifacts that do not have a Priority attribute set
12. Note how many accepted artifacts have not been prioritized.

21 artifacts are accepted but do not have a priority value set
Task 2: Display artifacts’ attributes in columns
Information about artifacts can be displayed in columns. This is useful for review purposes, and as we will see later,
for editing as well.
1. In the content pane, where the Artifacts table is displayed, click the Change Column Display Settings icon.
Figure 6: The Change Column Display Settings icon
2. From the Select attributes or link types list, select Accepted, Artifact Type, Priority, and Requirement
Type, and then click Add.
TIP: To select multiple attributes, press Ctrl while you select the attributes. After you click Add, the attributes
are listed in the same order in which you selected them.
3. Adjust the order so that Accepted is displayed in the third column, Priority is displayed in the fourth column,
Artifact Type is displayed in the fifth column, and Requirement Type is displayed in the sixth column.

Figure 7: Select which columns to show on the Artifacts page
4. Click OK. The columns change to display the attributes and values that you selected.
Task 3: Save a view
Because you might need to refer to this view during a review meeting, save the view.
1. In the navigation pane, click Views.
2. Click the Save View icon.
Figure 8: The Save View icon
3. In the New View window, specify information about the view, and then click OK.
a. For the name, type Approved requirements with no priority.
b. For the view type, click Personal.
c. For the view description, type Approved artifacts that have not been prioritized.
Notice the option to use the same view in all modules, which would give you consistency when looking at
your data.
