  • 5. Recommendations for actions to mainstream OER in education systems worldwide from the perspective of key stakeholder groups in education: -Teachers -Students -Institutions Scope for the panel:
  • 6. Obstacles for mainstream of OER • To find and get access to relevant quality assured material • To find resources for relevant purposes and target groups • Lack of solutions for contextual, linguistic and cultural adaptations
  • 7. Recommended actions: • OER in practice is the major avenue for development • Research on evidence on the use of OER should be related to context and how it improves teaching and learning • Acknowledgement and professional development of practitioners
  • 8. Who is responsible for actions? • From commitment to action….to commitment? • How can we help? • International collaboration is crucial • Development of communities and networking activities • ICDE initiates collaboration between OER repositories
  • 9. Paradox The gap between widespread OER production and the efficiency and efficacy of their reuse to support learning and widen access to education
  • 10. Possible project in the pipeline: Connecting Quality OER Repositories
  • 11. A network of Global Open Libraries - GOL
  • 13.
