founded on November 18, 1918. It
has been recognised as a
sovereign state since 1920
despite occupations and rule by
the Soviet Union (1940-1941,
1945-1991).
Our National Holiday is November
18, the date of the proclamation
of Latvia’s independence in 1918.
On August 21, 1991 Latvia
declared the independence, reestablished international
diplomatic ties.
Latvia in 2004 became a member
of the European Union and NATO.

located in North-eastern Europe on the east

in 1927.
Since 2009 we are at the Plavinas
region. It consists of three small rural

Since 1934 the school has its own badge
for school leavers. It symbolizes its place of
location – where the Aiviekste and the Daugava
meet together – and the blue colour symbolizes
dreams and hopes.
Every year on the 1st Saturday of February our
school leavers meet at school.
