The traditional model is unsustainable because:
• There are 263m children in the world not in education
• There is a global teacher shortage – additional 68.8m by 2030
• It is too expensive for Governments and Parents

Interviews
Covid-19 restrictions mean that it isn’t possible at this time to secure visitor
visas for Hong Kong; furthermore, there is a strict fourteen-day quarantine
in place for all coming into the region. As a consequence, much of the
recruitment procedure will have to be conducted by online video-
conferencing interviews with both the senior team and other key
stakeholders.
However, there will be some face-to-face interviews:
> Interviews for local candidates will be held in Hong Kong on 29 and 30
September 2020
> Interviews for international candidates with the principal and CEO will be
held in London on 8 and 9 October 2020
This programme is subject to alteration in the event of changes to the Covid-
19 restrictions in Hong Kong.

Here are how the ISC Research Global Projections looked in January 2020. These will no doubt change because of the impact of coronavirus, but how they will change, the sector is yet to know.
ISC Research is continuing to track the market and gather data helping schools and supporting organisations to understand market change.
ISC Research values all the insights that international schools can share in order to provide accurate analysis of the impact to international schools the world over. ISC Research will, in turn, continue to share as much as it can with all international schools.
