Introduction to RAWE Programme
• In 1995 RAWE programme has been introduced as per the model academic
regulations laid by the 3rd
deans committee of ICAR.
 To gain knowledge and experience on operational aspect of agricultural
technology being used by the farmer.
 To develop communication skills in interns by use of extension methods to
make them better extension worker.
 To help the interns to understand and appreciate the agricultural
problems of the village with special reference to the constraints in
application of latest farm technology.
 To acquaint interns with the functioning of various agricultural
researches, development, Agro based marketing industries, extension
agencies and other allied organization involved in rural development.
The orientation programmae was held from Jan 06,2016 to Jan 19,2016.
During this period we were delivered lectures by different teachers on
various topics regarding :
Adoption and constraints analysis in production of major crops in Haryana
Constraints in crop productivity
Techno-economic survey, preparation of farm plans, family budget etc.
Adoption and awareness of weed management technology in wheat(2015-16)
We were also given a word of advice by our Hon’ble Dean Dr. R.K. Pannu on 15th
and 18th
