Beth Gallaway, author of Game On: Gaming at the Library (Neal-Schuman, 2009), was named a Library Journal Mover & Shaker in 2006 for her work in advocating for videogames in libraries. Beth is the assistant director of the Haverhill Massachusetts Public Library, where she was the teen librarian from 1998-2004. She also works as an independent library trainer/consultant specializing in gaming, technology, and youth services, and is a YALSA certified Serving the Underserved (SUS) trainer.
Final Note: 100% of the participants said they’d take game design at the library again.
