Once logged in click on the Infrastructure tab. From here you'll have
access to the different Acronis subscription options

Select the solution that fits your needs

Next assign the order to an existing customer or create a new customer.
This example shows us adding the order to an existing customer. Also
select an existing payment method or add a new one

Select either a monthly or yearly billing term. Agree to the terms and
conditions. Then press the Place Order button

That's all there is to the ordering portion. Once you've submitted the
order click on the Control Panel link at the top of the Marketplace site.
We'll go track down the order and see that it provisions just as quickly

Locate the end customer that you assigned the order to. Click on the
Customers link on the left-hand side of the site. Use the search feature
to find the customer. Then click on the login icon

Select the Acronis subscription from the drop-down list.
Next we'll need to set up our backup user account. To start this process
click on the Create User link under the Users section of the home
page.

Complete the form with the user details, check the Backup Service
checkbox, and then press the Next button.

Select the notification options and set any limitations for the users. After
making your selections press the Next button.

Review the user details and if everything is set properly press the
Finish button.

Now that the user is available click on the Backup Service tab at the top
of the site.
Next we'll need to log in as the user and download the client. Click on the
user's login link to access the Acronis portal.

Then click on the big + sign at the bottom right-hand side of the Acronis
portal.

Select the language for the client and then choose if you need the client
for a Windows or Linux machine. For our demo we selected Windows.

The install file for the client will be downloaded. Run the install file on the
computer (Server, PC, VM, or VPS) that you want to create a backup plan
for. When you click on the install file you will have two options. You can
either run the install or extract the installation files. For the demo we're
running the install file.

Select the components to install and press the Next button to continue.

The location that the client will be installed is shown. If you would like to
change the directory you may do so. Typically you won't need to do this
but the option is there if needed. Press the Next button after setting the
install location.

Enter the credentials for the Acronis user. We set up this user in steps 9
through 12. Press the Next button after entering the user details..

Select the computer account that the service will run under. If a computer
account hasn't been created already one will be set up. For the demo
we're creating a new one. After selecting the client service account press
the Next button.

Review the information in the install summary. If the settings are correct
press the Install button.

The installation will run. Once completed press the Finish button.

The client is now installed. The next step is to log into the Acronis portal (https://baas.acronis.com) and set up
a backup job. You can login directly at https://baas.acronis.com with the user credentials or you can use a
quick login link from the customer control panel.

https://baas.acronis.com. After logging in select the select the computer
that the client was installed on..

To start the process of creating a backup job click on the Backup tab
on the lower right-hand side of the site.

Then press the New backup plan button.

The first step for creating the backup plan is to identify what you want to backup. If you want
to backup an entire Disk you would select the Disks option. If you prefer to only back up
specific folders or individual files select the Files and Folders option. In our example we
selected to back up just a single folder so we need to also include the path to the folder in
our options. Press the Next button to proceed.

Select the location that the backup will be saved to and press the Next button.

Next we'll set the frequency of the backup and the time we want the job to run.

The next step is where we set the retention period. We can select an indefinite retention
period or we can select how long to keep copies of the backup. In our example we chose to
remove backups older than 21 days. The retention period is very flexible and can be set to
any value of days, weeks, months, or years.

Adjust the parameters if need and give the backup plan a name. Press the Save button to
complete the setup.

  • 20. Locate the end customer that you assigned the order to. Click on the Customers link on the left-hand side of the site. Use the search feature to find the customer. Then click on the login icon © 2015 Cloud market | Backup as a Service | 20
  • 21. Select the Acronis subscription from the drop-down list. Next we'll need to set up our backup user account. To start this process click on the Create User link under the Users section of the home page. © 2015 Cloud market | Backup as a Service | 21

  • 29. The install file for the client will be downloaded. Run the install file on the computer (Server, PC, VM, or VPS) that you want to create a backup plan for. When you click on the install file you will have two options. You can either run the install or extract the installation files.   • 36. The client is now installed. The next step is to log into the Acronis portal (https://baas.acronis.com) and set up a backup job.   • 40. The first step for creating the backup plan is to identify what you want to backup. If you want to backup an entire Disk you would select the Disks option. If you prefer to only back up specific folders or individual files select the Files and Folders option. In our example we selected to back up just a single folder so we need to also include the path to the folder in our options.   • 43. The next step is where we set the retention period. We can select an indefinite retention period or we can select how long to keep copies of the backup. In our example we chose to remove backups older than 21 days.
