2. Herman Melville
• Herman Melville (August 1, 1819 – September 28, 1891)
was an American novelist, short story writer, essayist, and
poet. He is best known for his novel Moby-Dick. His first
three books gained much contemporary attention but after a
fast-blooming literary success in the late 1840s. He died in
1891.

• The story tells the adventures of wandering sailor
Ishmael, and his voyage on the whaleship
Pequod, commanded by Captain Ahab. Ishmael soon
learns that Ahab has one purpose on this voyage: to
seek out Moby Dick, a ferocious, enigmatic white sperm
whale.

• The New York Times is a newspaper published in New York City by
Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Jr., distributed in the United States and
many other countries.
• It is owned by The New York Times Company, which also owns 40
other publications, including the "International Herald Tribune"
and The Boston Globe.
• U.S. excellence. The New York Times was founded on September
18th, 1851 by Henry Jarvis Raymond and George Jones. Raymond
was also founding director of the AP in 1856.
• Adolph Ochs bought the Times in 1896 and, under his
leadership, it became internationally renowned.
• In 1897 the newspaper devised the slogan, "All The News That's Fit
To Print“.

The CNN is a U.S. cable news channel founded in 1980 by
American Ted Turner. CNN was the first television network

watched news channel in the U.S., followed by Fox News
Channel. Currently includes 15 channels of cable, but the
most important are CNN in Spanish and CNN International.
It also has two radio chains. one of which is the CNN Radio.
