INTRODUCTION

In view of the recent amendment made in the Patents Act, 1970 by the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005
effective from 01st January 2005, the Official Journal of The Patent Office is required to be published under
the Statute. This Journal is being published on weekly basis on every Friday covering the various proceedings
on Patents as required according to the provision of Section 145 of the Patents Act 1970. All the enquiries on
this Official Journal and other information as required by the public should be addressed to the Controller
General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks. Suggestions and comments are requested from all quarters so that
the content can be enriched.

Notice is hereby given that any person at any time before the grant of Patent may give representation by way of
opposition to the Controller of Patents at appropriate office on the ground and in a manner specified under
section 25(1) of the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 read with Rule 55 of the Patents (Amendment) Rules,
2006.
Notice is also given that if any interested person requests for copies of the complete specification, drawing and
abstract of any application already published, the photocopy of the same can be supplied by the Patent Office as
per the jurisdiction on payment of prescribed fees of Rs.4/- per page. If any further details are required to be
obtained, the same can be provided by the respective Patent Offices on request.

        Under the new provision of the Patents Act, 1970 as amended by the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005
and Rules there under, Publication of the matter relating to Patents in the Official Gazette of India Part III,
Section 2 has been discontinued and instead The Official Journal of the Patent Office is being published
containing all the activities of The Patent Office such as publication of all the patent applications after 18th
months , grant of patents & all other information in respect of the proceedings as required under the provisions
of the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 and Rules thereunder on weekly basis on every Friday.


The Journal is uploaded in the website every Friday. So Paper form and CD-ROM form of the Journal are
discontinued from 01/01/2009.

Every effort is being taken to publish all the patent applications under section 11(A) of the Patents Act.

However, if duplication of publication of any application is found, then earlier date of publication will be taken

for the purpose of provisional protection for applicant and Patent Office will grant Patent not before six months

(57) Abstract :
Abrasive Flow Machine (AFM) is an advanced machining process that is used to debur, radius, polish, remove recast layer, and to
produce compressive residual stresses. The process is gaining widespread attention due to its ability to produce consistent and
predictable results and its wide scope of practical applications; anywhere that the media can be forced to flow represents a practical
application of AFM process. In the present invention, we have designed and developed an automatic loading Uni-Oirectional AFM
machine which may be driven by any of the conventional and/or non-conventional energy resources viz. hydraulically, and/or
pneumatically and/or mechanically and/or electrically actuated and would find extensive use for large scale production in medium and
small scale industries for finish-machining, deburring, radiussing, polishing and grinding of intricate and otherwise difficult to reach
surface profiles, internal bores and cavities in machine components. The invention proposes the simple yet robust construction design
of the AFM Set-Up with a charismatic design provision for automatic loading and refilling of the extrusion cylinder for subsequent
finish-machining operations thereby facilitating high speed and consistent finish-machining without compromising on quality of the
finished products/surfaces.

(57) Abstract :
Abrasive flow machining (AFM) is relatively new non-conventional machining process developed as a method to debur, polish, and
radius surfaces and edges by flowing an abrasive laden media over otherwise difficult to machine areas and surfaces. The technique is
particularly useful on internal surfaces because abrasion action occurs where ever the media flow is restricted, appropriate tooling is
employed to direct the media to the target areas to be finished. In the present invention, we have designed and developed a simplified,
economical and extremely low cost manually operated Abrasive Flow Machining Set-Up which would find extensive use in micro and
small scale industries for deburring, radiussing and polishing of Internal bores, cavities, blind holes and intricate work-piece surfaces.
The invention proposes the simplest construction design of the operator driven Abrasive Flow Machine Set-up which basically
comprises of twin cylinders - one extrusion cylinder and one media cylinder, handle and pedal operated reciprocating piston inside
each cylinder, end and mid support plates, work-piece holder with clamp and guiding fixtures, and nozzle to match work-piece
profile.The handle driven forward stroke of the piston inside the extrusion cylinder extrudes the abrasive laden viscoelastic medium
through or past the work-piece surface and upon exit the media falls onto the collector from which it is gravimetrically collected in the
media cylinder, from where it is fed back into the extrusion cylinder by the pedal operated stroke of the piston inside the media
cylinder. The invention proposes the simplest construction design of the operator driven Abrasive Flow Machine.

In Flexible Headlight System a frame is attached to the rack of steering system of the vehicle, which will transfer rectilinear motion of
the rack to the rotary motion of the headlight. Thus, when the steering wheel is rotated while driving, the mechanism will transfer the
rotation of steering wheel to the rotation of the reflectors and thus the light beam. In other words, if the steering wheel is rotated
anticlockwise, the mechanism will cause the reflectors also to rotate in anticlockwise direction and vice-versa. Flexible Headlight
System does not use sensors, microprocessors and servomotors. It uses pure mechanical linkage to turn the headlights in accordance
with the vehicle turning direction. Therefore, the cost of Flexible Headlight System will be lower than the systems, meant for turning
the headlights, with electronic equipments. The headlights of the vehicle with Flexible Headlight System will always point in the
direction the vehicle is steering and therefore the road ahead is better illuminated, giving better view of the road and more time to the
driver to escape an accident, in case an obstacle is present. This mechanism will be very useful in hilly regions where the roads have
frequent sharp turns.

to come out into treated water. Moreover the system does not require any source of energy/ voltage or UV light for its functioning.

of teeth and reinforces retention from buccal aspect of teeth. The acrylic component of the removable tooth-borne orthodontic retainer
joins all the wire components into a single funtional unit without extending to the soft tissues thereby reducing patients discomfort,
speech problems, gag reflex, bad breath, soft tissue impingement & acrylic distortion and hence incresaing patients comfort and
compliance.

length of the pipeline and the Infrared Thermography camera will check the pipeline for leaks while the ultra¬sonic sensor will look
out for fouling and corrosion inside the pipeline. In case, it does detect any anomaly, it will immediately alert the ground station crew
and the on-board CCTV camera will start broadcasting. The ground station crew will be able to see the live feeds from the camera and
they can decide their course of action, accordingly.

predominantly gasoil and light vacuum gasoil fractions are evaporated. The third step is operated at 250-320°C and 0.5-15 mbar in
which mainly heavy vacuum gasoil (boiling range of 425 to 570°C on ASTM D-1160 test) is evaporated from spent oil.

According to the present invention there is provided an inhibition formulation for CMDB propellants and a process for preparation
thereof which results in high bond strength of inhibitor-propellant interface. The inhibitor formulation of the present invention is
prepared from hydroxy terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) based polyurethane filled with antimony trioxide and carbon black. The
tensile strength of the inhibitor formulation of the present invention is slightly higher and percentage elongation is very high as
compared to CMDB propellant. In the present inhibitor formulation, the inhibitor-propellant interface remains stable during thermal
cycling of the propellant over a wide range of temperature from -30°C to +55°C and the shelf life of the inhibited propellant is also
very high. The inhibitor formulation is room temperature cured and has adequate pot life thereby facilitating the application of
inhibitor slurry over the propellant and easy handling of the large free standing grains. The glass transition temperature of the
inhibition formulation is very low thereby making it useful for low temperature applications. The proposed inhibitor formulation,
when applied to the propellant surface, does not result in the significant migration of the plasticizer to the propellant surface over a
period of time thus improving the storability of the propellant.

the normal to thread axis. Said invention makes it possible to increase the reliability, the tightness and the strengh of the joint, to ease
the assembly and disassembly thereof, to improve the abrasion resistance of the joint and to extend the service life thereof.

The headlights of the vehicle with Flexible Headlight System will always point in the direction the vehicle is steering and therefore the road ahead is better illuminated, giving better view of the road and more time to the driver to escape an accident, in case an obstacle is present. The unmanned aerial vehicle will fly over and along the length of the pipeline and the Infrared Thermography camera will check the pipeline for leaks while the ultra¬sonic sensor will look out for fouling and corrosion inside the pipeline. In case, it does detect any anomaly, it will immediately alert the ground station crew and the on-board CCTV camera will start broadcasting. The inhibitor formulation of the present invention is prepared from hydroxy terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) based polyurethane filled with antimony trioxide and carbon black. The tensile strength of the inhibitor formulation of the present invention is slightly higher and percentage elongation is very high as compared to CMDB propellant. In the present inhibitor formulation, the inhibitor-propellant interface remains stable during thermal cycling of the propellant over a wide range of temperature from -30°C to +55°C and the shelf life of the inhibited propellant is also very high. The inhibitor formulation is room temperature cured and has adequate pot life thereby facilitating the application of inhibitor slurry over the propellant and easy handling of the large free standing grains. The glass transition temperature of the inhibition formulation is very low thereby making it useful for low temperature applications. The proposed inhibitor formulation, when applied to the propellant surface, does not result in the significant migration of the plasticizer to the propellant surface over a period of time thus improving the storability of the propellant.
