Be available to your Team

Develop an atmosphere of
          Trust.

Cultivate a climate where
people feel free to express
      disagreement.
 This may bring in better
      contributions.
Select the most capable
      persons and
     monitor them
     continuously.
Your team has a need to be
        involved in
some Important Endeavor.
   Recognise this need
           and
       Cultivate it.
Spend time not merely on
    problem solving
       but also on
exploiting opportunities.
Do not supervise
   individually when
teamwork by the whole
   group is involved.
Attend only those meetings
         in which
    you can contribute.
Spend time with the younger
    people in your team.
They may need your support
     and are a source of
new and creative suggestions.
Influence upon any decision
 should move it to where the
        competence lies.
 i.e., different people should
assume the leadership role in
      different situations.

        and guidance

Evaluate the team
against the standards set.
Clarify any
ambiguity or vagueness
     if it exists.
Get the team to come
  to a decision or
  to some action.
Keep track of the progress
          made
    and summarize
 about this to the team.
Discipline the individuals
            who
threaten to disrupt the team.

Dealing with individuals
Establish any
       job relevant
knowledge or skill possessed
      by individuals.
Encourage individuals who
 have made contribution
       and make a
 public acknowledgment
       of the same.
Listen to all the ideas
    and encourage
those that are feasible.
Make sure that all the
 members put in their
      best efforts
          and
 that each member is
participating as a team.
