Accenture Makes Strategic Investment in TripleBlind to Bolster
Data Privacy and Increase Data Collaboration Opportunities
Accenture has made a strategic investment, through Accenture Ventures, in
TripleBlind, a data privacy and virtual clean room solution provider. Sharing and
extracting insights from sensitive data, such as patient records or tax returns can help
accelerate cures for diseases or reduce financial crimes yet concerns around data
privacy and governments regulations have prevented many companies from
identifying these insights to date. TripleBlind helps enterprises share sensitive
information with their stakeholders more effectively – without ever decrypting the
data, helping them comply with regulatory requirements. TripleBlind is now part of
Accenture Ventures’ Project Spotlight, a deeply immersive engagement and
investment program that targets emerging technology software startups to help the
Global 2000 embrace the power of change and fill strategic innovation gaps. Project
Spotlight offers extensive access to Accenture’s deep domain expertise and its
enterprise clients, to help startups harness human creativity and deliver on the
promise of their technology. Through the program, TripleBlind will co-innovate with
Accenture at its Innovation Hubs, Labs and Liquid Studios, working with subject
matter experts to bring its solutions to market more quickly and more effectively.
Executive Commentary
“Organizations can yield valuable insights and unlock trapped value by
combining and collaborating around large volumes and different types of data,
but in order to do this they need to trust that the privacy of that data is protected,”
said global lead for Data & AI Group for Accenture Technology. “We believe that
TripleBlind not only has the capabilities to facilitate collaborative data
exchanges, but to also give organizations confidence that data privacy remains
intact.”

decreased to 8.0% from 8.8% in the prior year quarter. Non-GAAP operating income margin for the quarter was 10.0%, compared to 10.4% in the prior year quarter,

to 145 million in the prior year quarter.
Defense Solutions
• Defense Solutions revenues for the quarter of $1,951 million increased by $357 million, or 22.4%, compared to the prior year quarter. The revenue increase was
primarily attributable to $302 million of revenues related to the acquisition of Dynetics and program wins, partially offset by the completion of certain contracts and

• Defense Solutions operating income margin for the quarter was 7.4%, compared to 6.7% in the prior year quarter. On a non-GAAP basis, operating income margin

Health
• Health revenues for the quarter of $520 million increased by $12 million, or 2.4%, compared to the prior year quarter. The revenue increase was primarily

Mercer launches new climate change solution to help investors
transition to a 1.5°C climate scenario
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
22
Solution Description
Mercer, a global leader in redefining the world of work, reshaping retirement and investment outcomes, and unlocking real health and well-being, announced the
launch of climate transition analytics and advice for institutional investors who want to transition to a 1.5°C scenario of global warming as outlined in the Paris
Agreement. Climate change science has shown that to halt climate change, carbon emissions have to stop completely. ‘Net zero’ means that any emissions are
balanced by absorbing an equivalent amount from the atmosphere. The solution, called Analytics for Climate Transition (“ACT”) will help investors construct
climate resilient portfolios on a multi-year timeframe, as 1.5°C requires a 45% emissions reduction by 2030. ACT is now being offered to Mercer’s investment
consulting clients worldwide and will be leveraged to support climate transition strategies across its $304.5 billion USD global assets under management[1] on
behalf of its Investment Solutions clients. ACT was developed because institutional investors are seeking ways to assess the companies they are invested in with
respect to their commitment and ability to, transition to a net zero economy by 2050, with an important milestone of 45% emissions reduction by 2030. Through
ACT, Mercer can help investors set portfolio investment baselines; assess portfolio opportunities; establish targets and produce implementation plans that can be
integrated with strategy and portfolio construction decisions. Mercer’s framework and analytics draw on multiple data providers and metrics to assess portfolios
across a spectrum of carbon risk, with portfolios ranked from low transition capacity (grey investments) to investments that are low carbon risk/zero carbon
already, or are providing climate solutions (green investments). The majority of companies in investor portfolios fall somewhere in between the two sides.

Accenture named to 2021 list of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 11th
consecutive year
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
26
For the 11th year in a row, Accenture has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. The Canada’s Top 100 Employers ranking, now in its 21st year, is a national competition that identifies employers leading their
industries with innovative programs to attract and retain top talent and foster exceptional workplace environments. Accenture has been consistently recognized in Canada and globally as an employer of choice. The
company has been named to Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies list for 18 consecutive years, DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity list for 14 consecutive years, and the Refinitiv Diversity & Inclusion
Top 100 index, ranking in the top three worldwide for the third straight year. New programs and initiatives that contributed to Accenture being recognized as a top employer include:
• Supporting Canada’s future workforce: In January 2020, Accenture made a cash and in-kind services grant of more than C$1.1 million to ACCES Employment to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered bot
to help newcomers find meaningful careers in Canada. The initiative aligns with Accenture’s Skills to Succeed program, which uses technology to improve employment and entrepreneurship outcomes at scale.
• Investing in Canada and putting employees first: In January 2020, Accenture held a grand opening for a new Intelligent Operations Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario. As part of an investment in Canada and the Niagara
Region, the new centre brought an additional 100 local jobs in marketing, sales, customer care, and IT support. With employees in mind, the new location offers wellness features including a mothers’ room, a meditation
and prayer room, and fitness and games areas. Employees also have the capability to work from home and have been since the start of the pandemic.
• New data studios for intelligent insights: To further expand market reach and help clients achieve breakthrough results, Accenture launched a Toronto Data Studio in December 2019 and Montreal Data Studio in
March 2020. Data studio experts work alongside clients to help them capitalize on their data to generate intelligent insights.
• Focusing on ‘Getting to Equal’: Timed to International Women’s Day, Accenture publishes annual research to help advance the conversation on workplace equality. The latest Getting to Equal thought leadership
research shows that while more companies are focusing on equality and employees are concerned about workplace culture, progress remains slow. The report identifies a small percentage of leaders – Culture Makers –
who are leading the way by “saying, doing and driving” cultural change.
• Driving local growth and talent development: Accenture continues to support growth in its regional business markets. During the 2020 fiscal year, Accenture appointed Martine Lapointe as Montreal Office Managing
Director and Elizabeth Boright as Alberta Managing Director. With more than 20 years of experience each, both are focused on bringing innovation to Accenture’s clients, attracting top talent and strengthening
Accenture’s overall impact in their local communities.

Independent Research Firms Position IBM as a Leader in Managed
Security Services
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com

IBM announced that the company has been recognized as a Leader in three market reports evaluating Managed Security Services Providers. Profiling IBM's strategies and capabilities in managed security services are:
• "The Forrester Wave™: Global Managed Security Services Providers, Q3 2020" by Forrester Research: IBM Security Services received the highest score in the strategy category and among the highest in the market
presence category and second highest in the current offering category.
• "The Forrester Wave™: European Managed Security Services Providers, Q3 2020", by Forrester Research: IBM Security Services was top ranked in two categories – current offering and strategy with the highest
score possible in the third-market presence.
• "IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Managed Security Services 2020 Vendor Assessment" (Doc # US46235320, September 2020): IBM Security Services was cited for its key strengths as a global scale partner with local
delivery capabilities able to address customer needs such as the journey to cloud, application security, threat intelligence and threat management operations.
Managing more than 150 billion security events on average daily, IBM Managed Security Services brings together the power and integration of proprietary and third-party machine learning and AI to help customers
reduce incident fatigue, perform triage quickly and manage what matters most to clients. With many organizations navigating wider, more complex environments, the company's managed security services are built for
scale and efficiency to help protect hybrid cloud environments. IBM Managed Security Services, an all-in-one suite, focuses on relieving clients from alert fatigue and undetected threats – allowing for quick response
and remediation with incident response, security orchestration and automation built into the platform. In fact, in its global report, Forrester Research cites the breadth of IBM's portfolio, and in its European report, it cites
IBM's ability to integrate its product offerings in automation, threat intelligence, incident response and vulnerability capabilities into its managed security services. With over half a million cybersecurity jobs currently in
demand just in the U.S., many in-house security teams are struggling to keep up with the volume of threat data, alerts and incidents flooding their environments. Responding to this challenge, IBM's Managed Security
Services platform leverages IBM Security Resilient SOAR and IBM Security QRadar Advisor with Watson to escalate and remediate threats quickly. An asset recognized by the IDC MarketScape in its market report as
one of IBM's strengths, QRadar Advisor not only ingests data from activity within the end user environment, it also relies on insights gleaned from the external security community, ultimately enriching and contextualizing
SOC analysts' understanding of cyber behaviors and threat activity to empower speedy actions.

  • 8. Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Accenture Makes Strategic Investment in TripleBlind to Bolster Data Privacy and Increase Data Collaboration Opportunities Accenture has made a strategic investment, through Accenture Ventures, in TripleBlind, a data privacy and virtual clean room solution provider. Sharing and extracting insights from sensitive data, such as patient records or tax returns can help accelerate cures for diseases or reduce financial crimes yet concerns around data privacy and governments regulations have prevented many companies from identifying these insights to date. TripleBlind helps enterprises share sensitive information with their stakeholders more effectively – without ever decrypting the data, helping them comply with regulatory requirements. TripleBlind is now part of Accenture Ventures’ Project Spotlight, a deeply immersive engagement and investment program that targets emerging technology software startups to help the Global 2000 embrace the power of change and fill strategic innovation gaps. Project Spotlight offers extensive access to Accenture’s deep domain expertise and its enterprise clients, to help startups harness human creativity and deliver on the promise of their technology. Through the program, TripleBlind will co-innovate with Accenture at its Innovation Hubs, Labs and Liquid Studios, working with subject matter experts to bring its solutions to market more quickly and more effectively. Executive Commentary “Organizations can yield valuable insights and unlock trapped value by combining and collaborating around large volumes and different types of data, but in order to do this they need to trust that the privacy of that data is protected,” said global lead for Data & AI Group for Accenture Technology. “We believe that TripleBlind not only has the capabilities to facilitate collaborative data exchanges, but to also give organizations confidence that data privacy remains intact.” For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 3 Key Financial Highlights

Climate change science has shown that to halt climate change, carbon emissions have to stop completely. ‘Net zero’ means that any emissions are balanced by absorbing an equivalent amount from the atmosphere. The solution, called Analytics for Climate Transition (“ACT”) will help investors construct climate resilient portfolios on a multi-year timeframe, as 1.5°C requires a 45% emissions reduction by 2030. ACT is now being offered to Mercer’s investment consulting clients worldwide and will be leveraged to support climate transition strategies across its $304.5 billion USD global assets under management[1] on behalf of its Investment Solutions clients. ACT was developed because institutional investors are seeking ways to assess the companies they are invested in with respect to their commitment and ability to, transition to a net zero economy by 2050, with an important milestone of 45% emissions reduction by 2030. Through ACT, Mercer can help investors set portfolio investment baselines; assess portfolio opportunities; establish targets and produce implementation plans that can be integrated with strategy and portfolio construction decisions. Mercer’s framework and analytics draw on multiple data providers and metrics to assess portfolios across a spectrum of carbon risk, with portfolios ranked from low transition capacity (grey investments) to investments that are low carbon risk/zero carbon already, or are providing climate solutions (green investments). The majority of companies in investor portfolios fall somewhere in between the two sides.

The Canada’s Top 100 Employers ranking, now in its 21st year, is a national competition that identifies employers leading their industries with innovative programs to attract and retain top talent and foster exceptional workplace environments. New programs and initiatives that contributed to Accenture being recognized as a top employer include: • Supporting Canada’s future workforce: In January 2020, Accenture made a cash and in-kind services grant of more than C$1.1 million to ACCES Employment to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered bot to help newcomers find meaningful careers in Canada. As part of an investment in Canada and the Niagara Region, the new centre brought an additional 100 local jobs in marketing, sales, customer care, and IT support. The report identifies a small percentage of leaders – Culture Makers – who are leading the way by “saying, doing and driving” cultural change. • Driving local growth and talent development: Accenture continues to support growth in its regional business markets. During the 2020 fiscal year, Accenture appointed Martine Lapointe as Montreal Office Managing Director and Elizabeth Boright as Alberta Managing Director. With more than 20 years of experience each, both are focused on bringing innovation to Accenture’s clients, attracting top talent and strengthening Accenture’s overall impact in their local communities.
