Jabber is an open standard communication protocol (XMPP), as well as an enterprise-level communications solution from Cisco. Jabborate lets you collaborate with anyone on your SAP JAM by exchanging instant messages or making audio and video calls. Jabborate achieves this by integrating with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Cisco Unified Presence (CUP) via Jabber SDK for Web.
Jabborate uses SAP JAM corporate user directory to build a contact list automatically. Altenatively, contact lists could be integrated with Cisco Unified Communications Manager. Users provisioned in CUCM will be contactable via Jabborate's interface. Jabborate extends the existing user interface, while keeping the same look and feel by adding its own visual components such as “click-to-chat” and “click-to-call” options, and presence status. You can view one’s presence status by simply looking at his or her profile card. Sending an instant message or starting voice and video call with any of your connections is as simple as clicking a button.
