The future belongs to the nation that best educates
its citizens. We have everything we need to be
that nation. And year after year, a stubborn gap
persists between how well white students are doing
compared to their African American and Latino
classmates. The relative decline of American
education is untenable for our economy, it's
unsustainable for our democracy, it's unacceptable
for our children -- and we can't afford to let it
continue. President Barak Obama

Equating Albert Einstein’s
Theory of Relativity.

“Concern for making life better for ordinary humans must
be the chief objective of science. Never forget this when
you are pondering on your diagrams and equations.”
Einstein

                                                      www.edutechnia.org
“I never teach my pupils; I only attempt to provide the
conditions in which they can learn.” Einstein
                                                      www.edutechnia.org
“Games are the most elevated form of investigation “. Einstein
                                                     Albert
                       Einstein www.edutechnia.org
Einstein revolutionized the
world of science with his
Theory of Relativity.

                     www.edutechnia.org
Now, his formula will revolutionize learning.

                                          2

                                                www.edutechnia.org
What is energy?
In general, the concept of energy
refers to “the potential for causing
changes.” Energy is the force that
powers mental processes.
                                       www.edutechnia.org
Manifestations of energy in the
conceptual age:

• Innovation
• Creativity
• Problem solving
• Critical thinking
• Wisdom

                          www.edutechnia.org
E is the equalizer. . .
E brings Equity and Equality in Education
E energizes the mind at the speed of light

                              2
    EE = mc

                                             www.edutechnia.org
Closing the achievement gap requires energy to change.
Closing the gap means moving through space.
The mind must be highly engaged in order to move in time.
Learning at the speed of light provides the energy to close
the achievement gap in the conceptual age.

                                                              www.edutechnia.org
The speed of light is constant. The
constancy of learning at the speed
of light basically means that in
different frames of reference the
notions of “time intervals and
academic achievement” are
fundamentally altered.

                         www.edutechnia.org
www.edutechnia.org
When the mind is interacting
with these new tools for
learning, the brain is simply
converting mass into energy.
Our passion for learning
increases and as a result
generates momentum.

                   www.edutechnia.org
The blueprint for closing the achievement
gap between white and minority students
may lie in a powerful tool and a simple
formula:
                          2
             E = mc

                                        www.edutechnia.org
2
    E = mc

One-on-one computing is one
   giant leap for learning. www.edutechnia.org
How do we close the gap?

Technology is a great unrealized hope in
education reform. It can transform learning by
improving both the effectiveness of existing time
and making more time available through self-
guided instruction, both in school and out.

                                                    www.edutechnia.org
Technology makes it possible for
students to move at their own pace.
Effective learning technologies have
already demonstrated their ability to
pique student interest and increase
motivation, encouraging students not
only to spend more of their own time in
learning but also to be more deeply
involved in what they are doing.

                          www.edutechnia.org
The modern world demands learning environments that embrace
the wide world of people, places, and ideas, and are flexible in their
arrangements of space, time, technology, and people.

                                                                www.edutechnia.org
Conclusion:

Energy is power. Knowledge is power.
We gain knowledge and power through
learning. Unfortunately, the inconsistencies
and boundaries found in our schools have
disempowered our children and expand the
achievement gap.

E is the equalizer. . .
E brings Equity and Equality in Education
E energizes the mind at the speed of light
Education through technology is the equalizer!

E = mc² is the formula to closing the achievement gap.
“The oppressed class should be taught to master the tools of power and
authority ―the ability to read, write, and communicate ― and to gain enough
traditional knowledge to understand the worlds of nature and culture
surrounding them.” E.D. Hirsch
