Fun was had by all! A beautiful day at Hacienda Golf Club which
started with breakfast and a putting contest (Congratulations, Louie
Stauber!) followed by a shotgun start at noon and lunch catered by
Corner Bakery. The raffle and auction rounded out the day’s festivities
during a casual dinner. Over $26,000 was raised! Thank you to all of

2. On behalf of The James Wernke Foundation, Bob, Sheri and Kristina, we would like to thank you for your generous
donation and support. You make it possible for us to keep the memory of James alive through donations to deserving charities.
With your support, donations will be provided to charities that embody who James was. The following charities have benefited
from your kindness:
Smile Train - James had a smile that could not be ignored. It set him apart in a crowd. This charity takes underprivileged
children with cleft palates and completely changes their lives by providing them with the ability to “Smile like a Champion”
Fullerton Little League - All who knew James associated the game of baseball with him. It’s what he did. James would have
wanted “The Great American Pastime” to be available to all who wanted and loved the game as much as he did. The
Foundation will be finding children who want to play but do not have the means. These children will be provided with a glove,
cleats and registration.
Dumb Friends League (Animal Rescue) - James died with his dog. They both ended up in a raging torrent of water that
neither survived. James loved all and especially his dogs. He would walk, run, play and hold them close to his heart. He had a
special place and connection for all animals.
In the coming years we plan to continue small fundraisers. You can keep informed by going to www.jameswernkefoundation.org
and/or signing up for our newsletter. We hope for your continued support in the future.
We would like to thank all the people and businesses that contributed to our foundation this year.
