Why We Must Respect Teachers
by Alina Nira Leman (Form 5O2)
Teachers play an important role in the lives of students. Apart from our parents, they shape our
lives by sharing important knowledge with us and helping to inculcate good morals in us. Teachers can
really impact the lives of many children, especially when they leave a good impression on them. Many
people are able to keep in memory teachers who in one way or the other affected their lives positively or
negatively.
Secondly, teachers uphold students with as much care and sincerity as they would do for their own
children. Teachers are perceived as the greatest parents since students spend much of their time with their
subjects rather than with their parents. In this case, it is evident that parents are merely responsible for the
birth of their children while teachers take part in shaping their characters in a bid to make their futures
bright, an aspect the denotes the need to respect our teachers.
Last month, a parent accused a teacher of hitting their daughter. This tragedy should not happen. I
believe the teacher did not want to hit their daughter. She wanted the student to become good
academically and to give her some advice. Sometimes we will get punished for the mistakes we make
against the school rule. We should remember that a teacher, like a parent, punishes us not out of hatred,
but of love. When students are disciplined, credit goes to the teachers as well as the school.
Therefore, we should not see teachers as enemies for many great and famous people who have
made it in life today give credit to their teachers. We may see a few of them as bad, but respect our
teachers and make them our friends so that they can groom us into responsible adults in the future.
Lastly, there are so many reasons why we should respect our teachers. It really is not a hard thing
to show our teachers the respect they deserve. If we do have a problem or disagree with any of our
teachers, just talk to him or her after class. Being respectful can make life easier for us and our teachers.
Alina Nira Leman is hardworking, friendly and helpful. She is a dancer in this school.
She listens to music while doing homework. Once a month, she eats at Mc D’ and drinks
bubble tea. She is also the master of ceremonies at this school and she always respects
her opponents too.

3 Years At Bukit Jalil Sports School
by Erika Vallensia Ak Andrew (Form 4K1)
Good morning to my English Teacher, Mr. Jarod Yong, and all my beloved classmates. Today, I am
going to share my 3-year experience at Bukit Jalil Sports School from Form 1 until Form 3.
When I get an offer from Bukit Jalil Sports School, I was very happy because the chance to be
selected for Bukit Jalil Sports School is not easy. I took part in badminton, so I can show my skills.
During my first week at the Bukit Jalil Sports School, I felt uncomfortable with the situation. I
needed to wake up at 5:00 am in the morning because the training session started at 6:00 am. After the
first training session in the morning, I needed to rush myself back to the school dormitory for some
breakfast and a shower because class would start at 9:30 am in the morning. I felt very tired because I did
not have enough rest.
Classes finished at 2:30 pm and my training sessions would start at 3:00 pm in the afternoon. It was
very difficult for me because I needed to rush again to take the bus. At night, I had to go to class for night
classes with my teacher. By this time, I was really not energetic anymore because I was too tired from the
whole day of activities.
As day by day went by, I felt more comfortable with this situation because it became my daily
routine. I went to Japan, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia to represent Malaysia in the national
badminton team. The main reason why I transferred back to my hometown was because I was criticized by
my coach, so I gave up and my badminton performance became worse.
This is the story of my life at Bukit Jalil Sports School for 3 years. Thank you.
Erika Vallensia Andrew is a hardworking, friendly, helpful, and also funny student
who is the second child of four siblings. She listens to music while doing homework and
goes swimming at the aquatic centre on weekends. Once a month, she drinks bubble
tea, although bubble tea is not good for health. In every badminton tournament, she
has a good fighting spirit, even when losing, and she always respects her opponents
too.

Bully
by Audrea Flennsyha Jackie (Form 3A5)
There are a lot of reasons why people bully each other. Bullying can make them popular or look
tough and in-charge. Some bullies do it to get attention so that many people are afraid of them. Besides
that, some people bully for no reason except the victim looks different in some way. Perhaps, it is the
colour of their skin, the way they talk, their size, or their name.
Many students self-harm or commit suicide due to the pressure from being bullied. All these things
happen at school. Students need to be brave and report to their teacher whenever they get bullied.
Teachers and administrators do not have control over factors which produce children who are inclined to
bullying. However, the bulling problem can be greatly reduced in severity through appropriate supervision,
intervention and a safe climate at school.
In conclusion, every bully has different characteristics. There are no clear schemes or strategies that
can stop the problem from occurring. By being able to stop, deal with, and offer long-term bullying
support, we can target bullying at all junctures. Remain vigilant in our places of business or educational
institutions.
Ways To Save Money
by Marsha Amber Donny (Form 2S1)
Nowadays, there are a lot of people who are bad at saving money. There are many ways to save our
money. First of all, we can eat breakfast at home or in the hall in the morning so that we can save our
money and also give us some energy for the day. Besides, we can also do a price comparison. In this way,
we can find the cheaper groceries.
Other than that, preparing a grocery list is one of the ways to save money. Moreover, staying
healthy can also help to save money. The advantage is we don’t need to buy medicine, such as Panadol,
Gaviscon and others. Last but not least, we also need to drink plenty of water. So, you do not need to
spend money on soda.
Saving money may seem like a hard thing to do especially if you do not have any experience. “You
must gain control over your money or the lack of it will forever control you.”
Marsha Amber Donny is a hyperactive, friendly and caring girl. She is also a tennis player.
Other than that, she is the second child of 3 siblings. She is also one of the prefects at SMK
Tabuan Jaya.
Audrea Flennsyha Jackie is a friendly, helpful and also hardworking student who is the first
child amongst four siblings. She is a tennis player. She likes to listen to music while doing her
homework.
