World Independent Film Festival celebrates established
and emerging filmmakers from third world countries and
filmmakers from developed countries whose topics deal
with issues of the third world. The festival provides a
platform to introduce their films to the broadest possible
audience.
5. British and Hollywood films
Hollywood films are always high budget films where
as third world films are usually low budget.
The characters in Hollywood films are much more
glamorous then the characters in third world films.
Hollywood films focus on happy endings and
unrealistic story lines whereas the third world films
focus on real world issues.
6. Marketing and Distribution
Trailers with subtitles are made to market the films
because it reaches out to different cultures.
The films are usually distributed to a handful of small
chain cinemas to be shown in.
