2. What you will do
 Research and choose an endangered animal or
species.
 Find interesting reference images.
 Format your photograph in Photoshop to an 8”
square and print it full size and in color.

3. What you will do
 On newsprint, trace around the essential contour
lines and shapes of your animal.
 Trace over your lines with a sharpie marker

4. What you will do
 Using a grid system, transfer drawing to final 8” x
8” paper.

5. What you will do
 Experiment with oil pastels in your sketchbook and
on art cards.
 Choose a color scheme and fill
in areas with pure color and
blended color using oil pastels.

6. What you will do
 Mount your drawing and attach written blurb about
the animal.
