3. WHAT?
C.E.A. San Ildefonso-La Granja is an adult
education school.
It focuses on lifelong learning for adults. Its
purpose is to provide adults the opportunity to
gain skills that will enable them to enhance
their social, work, and family life. They aim to
provide flexible and personalized education.
4. The courses offered range from Adult Basic
Education courses (Spanish for immigrants,
English, ICT and Culture courses) to courses
devised to obtain the basic qualification: the
Compulsory Secondary Education (Educación
Secundaria Obligatoria. ESO) and courses to
access to the Professional Training public
System.
There are also some volunteers helping with
the immigrants classes.

6. WHERE?
Our institution is located in Real Sitio de
San Ildefonso (Segovia. Spain), a small
town in the province of Segovia,
Autonomous Community of Castilla y
León (Spain). It is located 11 km from
Segovia capital, at the foot of the
mountains of the Central System, which
separates the province of Segovia and
Madrid (76km from)
7. Outstanding among the monuments the
Royal Palace and its gardens with
fountains, and the Royal Glass Factory.
There are also many hiking trails through
the Sierra de Guadarrama.
It was the summer residence of the kings.
8.
9. WHO ELSE?
Not many, but really good teachers. We
all participate in a Grundtvig partnership.
10. WHO ELSE?
We have had around 250 students last
school year.
We are increasing the learning
opportunities for our students using ICT
13. WHAT ELSE?
We want our students not just to be in a
classroom, we try to provide as many
opportunities as possible to participate
doing hands-on activities, sharing
experiencies and learning from other
European partners, practicing English,
using ICT...
14. Our institution does not only attend El Real
Sitio, it also provides courses in some small
villages. To increase the possibilities of such a
small school with so many students, so few
teachers…
…it is a help the use of ICT like our website
(virtual classrooms, blogs, facebook, twitter…):
