3. Heat of hydrogenation depends upon the stability of alkene . More will be the stability of alkene less will be the heat of hydrogenation. Let we give numbering to the alkenes as 1,2,3 and 4 as in the order in the picture .
4th alkene is least stable and 1st one is most stable alkene .
2nd is more stable than least stable and 3rd is more stable than second .
Hence order of most heat producing alekene to least heat producing alkene is ,,,
4>2>3>1 .
4th will produce highest heat of hydrogenation as least stable and 1st will produce lowest heat of hydrogenation as most stable.
