2. Multimedia graphics have advanced tremendously in
recent years. One aspect of this is the prominent use
of 3D graphics across devices to enhance the overall
user experience.
The 3D Rotation and 3D Translation tools give
designers a way to take two-dimensional artwork and
rotate, transform, and animate them in the 3D realm.
Although we haven’t yet explored the intricacies of
movie clips, keep in mind that at this point, it’s simply
necessary for an item to exist as a movie clip symbol
to take advantage of these 3D tools in Flash!
3. You can utilise the 3D rotation tool to
manipulate 2D symbols in space.
Adjust the ‘x’, ‘y’ and ‘z’ axis’ markers to
adjust the positioning on the stage
4. You can utilise the 3D translation tool to
move the 2D symbols in 3D space.
Adjust the ‘x’, ‘y’ and ‘z’ axis’ markers to
readjust the positioning on the stage
5. You can morph from one form to another
over the space of several frames.
To do this, you need to create two shapes and
a ‘Shape Tween’
6. Insert a shape on a ‘Keyframe’, then advance
further down the timeline and insert a new
‘Blank Keyframe’
On this empty keyframe, place a new shape.
Right click on the prior frame in the timeline
and select ‘Create Shape Tween’.
7. Morph a red square into a blue circle over 65
frames.
Morph from the blue circle to another shape
(your favourite) in another colour (again, pick
your favourite) over 50 frames.
