This document discusses using Second Life as a platform for teaching chemistry concepts. It lists several ways chemistry is being taught in Second Life, including vodcasts and podcasts of lectures, virtual labs and demonstrations, student assignments and exhibits, and interactive visualizations of molecular structures and spectra. Faculty have virtual offices and labs in Second Life. Conferences and meetings take place on islands in Second Life. Several upcoming demonstrations and talks on using Second Life for chemistry education are also mentioned.
