2. Definition
• Surfing is a surface water sport in which the
surfer rides a surfboard on the crest and face
of a wave which is carrying the surfer towards
the shore. Waves suitable for surfing are
found primarily in the ocean, but are also
sometimes found in lakes and rivers, and also
in manmade wave pools.
3. Surfing needs…
• Principally to practice this sport you need only
a surfboard, but in addition this sport is
usually practiced in other stations apart from
in summer, then you will need a wetsuit.
4. Rules
• Never skip a wave. Always look at both sides
before you get to walk, to make sure that there is
no one paddling the wave. Shows respect and
don't want to catch all the waves. Avoid surfing
peaks filled with local. If you do, remember that
you are not at home. At the beginning, stay on
the arm of the wave, waiting for someone to fall
or that there is no one on the peak for paddling.
It is a sign of respect toward the premises. Never

peak.
