12. FAQs
Aren’t we born resilient or not? Isn’t it impossible to develop these things, since they are innate?!
Cutting edge research by positive psychologists into resilience suggests that most human beings have a baseline of about
50% of the attributes that make up the relationship to self, others, and environment as!
a biological “set point.” 10% is dependent upon life circumstances, and 40% is under our intentional control. So we want to
target that 40%!!
!
What do the scores in this report really mean?!
The overall resilience scale and the scores in Reports #2 and #3 are the most statistically relevant scores, which means that
when compared to our normative sample of successful executives and managers in Fortune 500 organizations, you can
reliably gauge how your level of resilience and your explanatory style compares to other people who’ve taken this
assessment. All of the reports are designed for reflection and insights. While the relationship domains are important, our
research shows that the real keys to resilience are our stories and our actions, which are featured in reports #2 and 3 Explanatory Style and Physical Resilience.!
!
How large is your database of scores?!
We have a statistically relevant pool of 1100+ consultants, leaders, and managers who have taken the assessment and are in
our official database. Your input will help us make our database larger and will help us gain more insight into resilience.!
!
How come all my scores are so similar?!
When your scores are very close together, it may mean that you had a hard time being particularly discerning about your
strengths and challenge areas.
