2. From the KELC Teachers:
From the Classroom:
October sure was an amazing month! We had our first ELI trip of the year! The children
loved playing at Dunham’s Tavern. They worked together to build a log cabin and learned
how things were made long ago. Jen Jen, Lua’s au pair, came in and taught the children
about the Mid-Autumn Festival that is celebrated in China. She even brought in moon cakes
for the children to try. Ms. Amanda came from the library and shared silly books about
underwear. The children thought they were very funny. The children also had a blast at our
Fall Festival. There was bowling, a bean bag toss, pumpkin decorating, and a donut-eating
contest! It was fun to see the children try to eat a donut with no hands.
November is going to be busy, too! We have conferences and our Thanksgiving Feast. Make
sure to mark your calendar for November 21st
! We will be visiting MOCA and then at the
end of the month we will be visiting the Art Museum here in Oberlin!
