2. In what ways does
your media product
use, develop or
challenge forms and
conventions of real
media products?
3.
4. What kind of media institution might distribute your
media product and why? (write up in diary)
• I would like a media institution such as Bauer to distribute
my music magazine because currently they are
distributing popular music magazines and currently on the
market there are no popular electronic music magazines
that are on a scale such as NME. Where Bauer focuses on
distributing magazines such as rock magazines e.g.
Kerrang and Q.
• I believe there is a huge market for electronic music
magazines and by a large corporation such as Bauer
distributing my magazine, I think this would be the correct
choice because not only would it allow them to open into
a new market but also my magazine would be getting
published by a well know institution and therefore could
get more of a look in concerning business investors.
• I don’t think it should be distributed by an institution such
as Development Hell who already publishes dance music
magazines. This could allow my magazine to be confused
with others and not allow it to have its own identity.
