About the Runnin’ Rebels
UNLV made its second straight trip to the NCAA tournament last year and won the Mountain West tournament for the
second straight year. Head coach Lon Kruger, who played with WU’s Bob Chipman at Kansas State from 1971-73, returns
three starters and seven letterwinners from last year’s 27-8 team (12-4 MWC). Senior guard Wink Adams led the team last
year with 16.9 points a game and an 85 percent effort from the free throw line.
