Heart of Jesus can be
considered as ancient as the
Church itself.

Jesus’ Divine Heart was
transfixed by the lance.

However, this devotion was
only practiced by few chosen
souls and it is only on the
seventeenth century that the
Heart of Jesus was honored
in a solemn manner.

Christ appearead to a pious
nun, Margareth Mary

Paray-le Monial, France

loves men so ardently, is
so little loved in return”
Jesus then desired that a
special feast should be set
apart to honour his Heart,
and to offer it in worship
and reparation.

devotion to the sacred
Heart of Jesus is to enflame

in the Blessed Sacrament

acceptable to the Sacred
Heart of Jesus, or so
beneficial to our souls, as to
visit him regularly in the
sacrament of His love, The
Most Blessed Sacrament.

Friday of every month.
“You must communicate on
the first Friday of every

month is therefore a feast
day establish by our Lord
Himself, a day which his
Divine Heart expands to
bestow on us copious and
special grace.

pictures.
Jesus desired that the
representation of His Heart
should be publicly exposed,
in order for him to touch the
cold hearts of men.
He promised to pour forth

our lives to put them in line
with God’s demands.
We should incarnate this
conversion into an affective
action.
No renewal can move
forward without it.

lives
Offering our daily lives in
all sincerity and

asking him to work
through each of us, to
fulfill his will and purpose
