Eight years ago, on my first day working for the ALSD, I walked through the office doors a greenhorn to the business, to any business for that matter. It was my first job after graduating from college with a civil engineering degree and without any intention of ever being a civil engineer. In pursuit of a lifestyle job, I found one that perfectly married my passion for athletics with my interest in construction with my need to use the right side of my brain on a daily basis. From engineering student to language artist, all along the way, I've been fortunate to be tasked with creating that which did not exist before.
