Romeo And Juliet Critical Analysis
Throughout history, classic literature has appealed to modern audiences due to the relevance of
themes in the piece. Playwright William Shakespeare's romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet (1599) is
a classic piece that explores the themes; love and impetuousness of youth. These themes are
portrayed through the star–crossed lovers' story and still reflect the universal themes that people
experience today. Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. This can be seen in Romeo and
Juliet due to the degree that the young lovers go to for each other. This key theme is delineated
when Romeo has a monologue about Juliet and how he feels about being banished to never see
her again. He says, "'Tis torture and not mercy. Heaven is here, / Where Juliet lives, and every cat
and dog / And little mouse, every unworthy thing, / Live here in heaven and may look on her,
/ But Romeo may not." Shakespeare uses animal imagery to portray how jealous Romeo is of
something as menial as animals, as well as depicting how he feels about not being able to see
Juliet. Animal imagery can also be linked to the concept of the Great Chain of Being to show how
inferior every living thing is compared to Juliet. This links with the theme love because it shows the
audience how admirable Juliet is through Romeo's eyes. The Great Chain of Being was an
important belief in the Elizabethan worldview. However, even if the beliefs about humankind have
radically changed, the magnitude of the love Romeo feels is timeless. In modern texts, there are
scenes or chapters that mirror the type of over–exaggerated language used in the play, also known as
a hyperbole. Shakespeare uses hyperboles to accent Romeo's overly dramatic character. Another
example of love in the play is when Juliet divulges into her soliloquy about seeing Romeo again.
Love is shown when she says, "Give me my Romeo, / and when he shall die, / Take him and cut
him out in little stars, / And he will make the face of heaven so fine / That all the world will be in
love with night / And pay no worship to the garish sun." Shakespeare uses celestial imagery to
portray the depth of love that Romeo and Juliet share. The celestial imagery also shows the audience
Juliet's feelings, especially when

Persuasive Essay On Abortion
Many individuals fail to understand the sheer magnitude of bloodshed, tribulation, and despair
legalized abortion has initiated into the human experience – both in the United States and
worldwide. Far more human lives have been violently ended by this immoral decision than any
other war or genocide in history. It is one of the most controversial issues in today's society.Abortion
is the intentional decision to murder a human fetus by chemical, medical or surgical procedures.
Those who support the rights of abortion argue that women should be able to decide what can be
done to their bodies, yet the unborn baby inside a woman is a living being, and terminating that
pregnancy is the equivalent of murder. These innocent children should not be held responsible for
your mistakes. Don't terminate pregnancy now, because you may not have children in the future at
all. To commence with, during development a human being grows at an astonishingly rapid pace.
According to Guttmacher Institute, "89% of all abortions in the United States are performed in the
first trimester of pregnancy." (2005). In the first trimester (16 weeks), the baby's eyes and eyelids,
nose, mouth, and tongue have formed, and the baby's reproductive organs also develop. The
cardiovascular system is the first system that begins to function. The baby's heart begins to circulate
their own blood, similar to his mother's heart, twenty–two days after conception. Electrical brain
activity can be detected at six or seven

Personal Essay: The Dangers Of Speeding
The Dangers of Speeding
I was pulled over by a police officer because I was going faster than I was supposed to in that
designated area. The zone was a sixty–five mile per hour zone and I was do eighty. I have agreed to
the terms that I was found guilty of this and now come to you the reader explaining why it may be
dangerous to be speeding in certain areas and ultimately everywhere. During this experience I have
learned that there are many consequences for not driving safe, because there is never a good reason to
speed. I have learned that it is extremely dangerous to speed and that there will be consequences,
even if they are minor like, obtaining a ticket, and occasionally they are major, like killing running
into someone else. It does not matter what happens after, you should not be speeding ever because

No matter the situation there is no reason for someone to be speeding. Only in emergencies and
you should have on your emergency lights to avoid trouble. Many people forget what they are
doing, however that should never happen. When you are driving you should always be aware of
your surroundings and you should be alert at all times and ready for anything to happen. In order
to do this you need to be going at an appropriate speed and be prepared to stop for anything that
may occur to you or any others while driving. I have learned in this experience that speeding is
not something that you should take lightly and worry about it when you actually get caught or
when something awful happens. It is not worth losing your license, money, or even someone's
life. There is no excuse for speeding and it is no one's fault except your own. I am very
disappointed in myself because I have been raised to follow the rules and always do the right thing
no matter the consequences, and I was taught to always drive safe and do not drive faster than I
need to. I never need to drive fast because nothing is more important than the lives of

Personal Reflection Paper On Working
Throughout this essay, I reflect on the semester that I had whilst undertaking 2031HSV Working in
Organisations. Topics are discussed such as, new areas I encountered, skills and knowledge I have
that I was previously unaware of, as well as the challenges that I faced throughout the semester.
Firstly within this essay, I would like to discuss areas that were new to me throughout this course. I
believe that working in groups will be extremely beneficial throughout my future social work career.
However, working within such a large group (group of 11 people) was an extremely different concept
than what I was accustomed to. I found throughout my reflection upon the semester that working in
large groups (in contrast to working individually) posed many positive and negative qualities.
Beginning with the strengths I recognised and rejoiced in the fact that there was a variety of
different people that I had the perfect opportunity to get to know better. As the semester advanced, I
become familiarised to each individual's strengths and weaknesses within the group, as well as my
own. As a group we were able to thrive of the different experiences and expertise that other member
could bring to the group, as well as compensate for other group members skill limitations with an
empathetic and non–judgmental attitude. Thus overall making the group that I was assigned to, a
very enjoyable group of people. As stated previously large group work, is a new concept to me,

Ancient Egypt Medicine Essay
Ancient Egyptian Medicine
It was essential in ancient times. It is essential now. Throughout human history, many ancient
civilizations have come and gone, obtaining and leaving behind irreplaceable knowledge. In the
modern days, much research and information in the medical field came from the people of ancient
Egypt. Although they lived during the early years of human existence, they have acquired
exceptional data. Ancient Egypt has been a major contributor to modern day medicine, for they have
given knowledge of hygiene, surgery, the uses of herbs, and the medical papyri.
The Egyptian need to be clean and hygienic has greatly influenced many people in this time and age,
preventing what could cause medical damage. The fact is, back in ancient...show more content...
In the modern day world, there are still some remedies and treatments practiced that was

mint and Aloe Vera, while their other herbal medicines provided a base for our everyday
medicines, such as antibiotics and pain killers. When it came to pain killers, it is recorded that
ancient Egyptians had an understanding and used "natural remedies to control pain long before
Europeans figured out the natural powers of such herbs" (Gordon). They understood and used
multiple herbs and natural elements to rid themselves of disease and parasites. In Egypt, they
treated worms with pomegranates, later proven by "modern medical studies [show] ... that the
ancient Egyptians were absolutely right to treat worms with the fruit" (Gordon). This is because,
"modern scientists confirmed that the high tannin content in pomegranate can actually paralyze

Aloe Vera plant to calm burning skin and mint to relieve gastric pain. The ancient Egyptians relied
greatly on their natural resources and provided a stepping stone for the medicine in today's world,
although we would never know about their discoveries if it hadn't been for the way they kept a

Essay On Stalingrad
The battle between Russia and Germany in the summer of 1941 is known as the largest land theatre
of war in history. It was the most horrific war of all time. Stalingrad was called Tsaritsyn until 1925,
it was then renamed Stalingrad in honor of Josef Stalin. The cities name was changed again in 1961
to Volgograd, meaning Volga City. This monumental battle is considered a turning point in the war
on the Eastern Front. The invading Gerans saw the conquering of Stalingrad as essential to their
campaign in Russia, because from this strategic point on the Volga River they could launch further
assaults in the Caucasus. The Russians were determined to defend the city in any way as an
important industrial and transportation center. Stalingrad stretched...show more content...

Hitler was stubborn and made poor decisions and assumption. Stalingrad, located in Southwest
Russia on the Volga River was a major industrial city and a communication center for theSoviet

Stalingrad at the tip. The counteroffensive surprised the Germans, because they thought the Soviets

I Am A My Fears
I Believe in Conquering My Fears My largest obstacle in this life will always be my own
anxiety–ridden mind. Conquering my fears is one of the most terrifying, wonderful, and
encouraging things I can achieve. Nevertheless, it is a difficult goal to reach. It is as if a battle is
continually being waged in my head whenever I face something unfamiliar. Once these worries
set in I retreat into myself, believing I must conquer my fears alone. This is a difficult idea to
break free of, remembering that I am not alone, that someone much larger than I can, and will
help, becomes almost impossible. However, God is not one to stand by while his children hurt,
when I am falling to pieces, God always steps in, one way or another, to remind me that I am, and I
never will be, alone. I am glad I have this apprehension because it motivates me and makes life much
more gratifying. This fear has brought me closer to God in many ways, anxiety serves as a reminder
that I need to let go and give every worry to the Lord. I believe, when I control my fears instead of
running from them, I improve as a Christian and am able to accomplish more in life. I first
remember allowing fear to control me when I was ten years old and my father was deployed in
Kyrgyzstan with the Air Force. Because he was not directly involved in combat operations, I did
not fear for his safety. Nevertheless, it was the first time I experienced a long separation from one
of my parents and I felt less than secure.

Sigmund Freud: The Theories Of Personality
Theories of Personality Psychoanalytic perspective is based on Sigmund Frued perspectives about
early experiences it focuses on the importance of the unconscious mind which contains thoughts,
wishes, feelings and memories/past experiences in which we are unaware of. The id operates on
the pleasure principle by satisfying basic urges, needs, and desires. Ego operates on the reality
principle, satisfies the id's desires in ways that it will cause pleasure instead of pain. Superego
strives for perfection, positive feelings and negative feelings of guilt. These three systems were

The humanistic perspective can also lead to an extroverted personality by the individual raising their
self–concept by stopping their tendencies to look for others' approval. Once they accept themselves,
their esteem needs will be met and obtain gratification about themselves. Once their self–esteem
rises, the individual will feel more comfortable socializing and be more energized The Trait
perspective suggests that individual personalities are composed broad dispositions. The trait
approach to personality is focused on differences between individuals. A trait is defined as a
relatively stable predisposition to behave in a specific way. The "Big Five" is factors of personality
that represents five core traits that interact to form human personality. These traits were
Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, Neuroticism, Openness, and Extraversion. Psychologist, Gordon
Allport believed that every individual was unique and categorized their traits in three levels: Cardinal
Traits (traits that dominate an individual's whole life), Central Traits (general characteristics that
form the basic foundations of personality), and Secondary Traits (traits that are sometimes related to
attitudes and often appear only in certain situations). Also British psychologist Hans Eysenck
developed a model of personality based upon just three universal trails. Introversion/Extraversion:
Introversion involves directing attention on inner experiences, while extraversion relates

Take a Stand on Bullying
Bullying is a form of verbal and physical abuse that needs to stop. It takes place every day all over
the world. It represents the attacking of someone that is stronger mentally, emotionally and
physically attacking someone that is weaker in all of these fields. Bullying has long term effects on
its victims such as mental and emotional stress that can carry on into the future. Bullying has been
around for a while now. "Bullying is so long established in our society and schools that is often
ignored and considered as "part of normal behavior during growing up"(Dracic, S. 2009)....show

Bullying doesn't always happen at school or in person. A lot of bullying takes place over the
internet. Cyber bullying has been defined as ''willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of
computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices'' (Hinduja & Patchin,
2009). When kids get caught bullying at physically at school they then take it to electronic devices
where it is harder for them to get caught. They produce face accounts on websites to torment and
torture kids that are weaker than them, such as making fake accounts on Facebook or MySpace. In
this study it says "There is a difficulty of detecting the misbehavior, identifying the offending party,
proving of verifying the wrongdoing" (Hinduja, S., &Patchin, J.W. 2010). We need to set rules and
make sure that cyber bullying comes to an end.
People that bully others should face severe consequences. We should have laws and rules that lean
heavily against bullying. I believe that schools should hold more meetings for teachers to educate
kids on the severe outcomes of bullying. Schools are becoming better at educating kids on the
effects of bullying, "Fortunately, schools have strategies to prevent bullying. These strategies are
most effective when they are part of a comprehensive prevention program implemented at the
district, school, and classroom levels. Research indicates that schools can cut bullying by as much as
50% with a comprehensive school wide

The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet
В«The tragedy of Romeo and JulietВ» written by William Shakespeare (1564–1616). The plot of the

When they saw each other, neigh Romeo nor Juliet, had doubt that this is love, that they are

the feeling to an elected person, even if you will try so hard. People in love, in cases relating to
their second half, act without thinking with their head, they just listening their heart. And enamored

Childhood Education
Childhood education is a topic that many people don't really see as an important thing to talk about.
But it is, this is where everything starts in a child's life. It's where they can get a jumpstart on
education, and learn things at a young age which sets them up for the bigger opportunities and offers
later in life but some kids can't have this education. Childhood education is concerning because of
bullying, affordability, and poor health.

A lot of children 's parents can't afford to give their child an education. Some of the expenses are
school supplies, clothes, classes, lunches, and after school activities. When summer is over and
school is starting back up school supplies can get really pricey. Some parents can't pay for the
supplies, which leads to kids not being able to get as good as education as others. Clothes can also
be really expensive, another thing some parents can't afford to get for their kids. "In the NEFE
/Harris survey, 61 percent of parents who plan to spend money this fall on K–12 back–to–school or
education–related expenses anticipate spending the most money on clothes" (Golden 1). The
parents already know that they are probably going to have to spend the most money on clothes
which takes money from other things that the money could be used on. Some parents can't pay
for new clothes and kids have to use their old ones which may be too small or worn and ripped.
This can lead to the kids getting bullied, which leads to loss of education. Lunches can really

it at school, parents may not have the money to give to their kid everyday for them to buy their
lunch. Or even if they bring their own lunch, it's not free. The parents still have to buy all the food

The Meaning Of Life
Mehkya Wilcox
Everyone, in some form or fashion, has a desire to understand and question the purpose and
meaning of their life. In fact, it's important for people to understand the true meaning of the purpose
they have in life so that they may live well here on Earth. Philosophers, such as Socrates, Aristotle,
and Confucius began to question the life of a human being and what it meant to be a human being.
Each of these philosophers has their own philosophy or worldview of the best life a human being
can live, with the concept of having wisdom and virtue being the key components. In fact, each of
these philosophers expresses the importance of having a life full of wisdom and virtue based off
what they describe as the best life for a human being.
Socrates, according the Apology, describes the best life for a human being is to live the examined
life by having a "care for the soul". Basically, he believes that people should examine their lives by
asking questions and effectively prove it be true and know it for themselves rather than to rely
on someone else's word for it to be right or true. Essentially, this is the very thing that Socrates
discovered about the meaning of wisdom as he attempts to solve the Delphic riddle that "no one
is wiser than Socrates." He discovered that the people who claimed to be wise, such as the
politicians, poets and artisans were not really wise; they just appeared to be. In fact, he discovered
that even he was not wise and there are still some

"Everyone thinks that a new place or a new identity will jump fast a new life." – Caroline Leavitt.
My story starts in the year 2017 when I decided to follow up on my dream and go to a far–away
land, called the United States of America. My journey is full of new surprises and discoveries of a
world so different from the one I am leaving behind, with its own beliefs and culture. This is the
story of an eighteen–year boy and his first encounter with a new society, his first time away from
home and family. It was not an easy decision moving to a different country, leaving behind
everything and everybody, but I had the anxiety of traveling and seeing this new world that I had
seen only in the movies, the land of Christopher Columbus, where Indians and African–Americans
lived unified on a vast territory. I still remember the feeling when my parents said that we are
moving to America. It was the time when I felt everything around the world had been stopped,
and I did not know what I should do next. I was unable to decide whether life was making me
move forward or it would cause me to face more trouble than achievement. I was amazed by
looking at the Diversity of people. I knew that there were drastic changes which would be arising
in my life which I seemed that it was hard to digest, but it seemed that the USA absorbs everyone in

The Causes And Consequences Of The Cold War
The Cold War In 1945, the United States and Soviet Union were allies, triumphant in World War II,
which ended with total victory for Soviet and American forces over Adolf Hitler's Nazi empire in
Europe. Within a few years, yet, wartime allies became mortal enemies, locked in a global
struggle–military, political, economic, ideological–to prevail in a new "Cold War. Was it the Soviets,
who reneged on their agreements to allow the people of Eastern Europe to determine their own fates
by imposing totalitarian rule on territories unlucky enough to fall behind the "Iron Curtain?" Or was
it the Americans, who ignored the Soviets' legitimate security concerns, sought to intimidate the
world with the atomic bomb, and pushed to expand their own international influence and market
dominance? The tensions that would later grow into Cold War became evident as early as 1943,
when the "Big Three" allied leaders–American President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime
Minister Winston Churchill, and Soviet Premier Josef Stalin–met in Tehran to coordinate strategy.
Poland, which sits in an unfortunate position on the map, squeezed between frequent enemies
Russia and Germany, became a topic for heated debate. The Poles, then under German occupation,
had not one but two governments–in–exile–one Communist, one anticommunist–hoping to take over
the country upon its liberation from the Nazis. The Big Three disagreed over which Polish faction

Instead the majority of the population tends to enjoy gathering family and friends and going out for

seemed like it was not even scared of the people or the noise they were making. I couldn't wait to

Economics
Assume a consumption function that takes on the following algebraic form: C = $100 + .8Y.
Assume that Y = $1000 what is the level of consumption at this income level.
C = $100 + .8($1000) = $100 + $800 = $900.
1. Using the above figure calculate the marginal propensity to consume between the aggregate
income levels of $80 and $100. Also explain why this consumption function is linear.
The marginal propensity to consume is equal to $15/$20 = .75. The consumption function is linear
because the marginal propensity to consume is constant and therefore the slope is the same
throughout all income levels.
2. Assume consumption is represented by the following: C = 400 + .75Y. Also assume that planned

Therefore, if people have more money then they are likely to purchase more goods – potentially
ones from our country, thus exports will rise and the value of net exports will increase. If disposable
income abroad is low then exports will fall and the value of net exports will fall.
Disposable income at home. This refers to how much money people at home have available to
spend on luxuries. The more money people have at home, the likelier they are to spend – which can
result in a rise in imports. Rising imports will have a negative effect on net exports on the overall
aggregate demand. Vice versa.
Exchange rates. These play a large part in the value of net exports. A fall in a countries exchange
rate will reduce the price of exports and raise the price of imports, thus exports should rise and
imports fall – resulting in an increase in net exports. A rise in a countries exchange rate will raise
the price of exports and make imports cheaper, therefore making exports fall and imports rise. The
overall effect will be a fall in net exports.
8. Explain the accelerator theory.
The accelerator effect is when an increase in national income results in a proportionately larger rise
in investment
Consider an industry where demand is rising at a strong pace. states that if there is a small change in
the production output of consumer change, there will be a much greater change in the production

My Favorite Music
Growing up, I've always been surrounded by music.
When I think of my childhood, I think of music. I think of my parents' tape cassettes and CDs and
my dad's guitar. I think of all the times my mum sang along to Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell on the
stereo while I played in the living room, I think of how my dad played guitar and sang Oasis and
Stereophonics. I remember admiring my dad, the lead singer of a band he created with my uncles
and his friends, and wishing I could be just like him.
As a child, music was one of my many sources of happiness. My first love was the early 2000s
pop–rock band Busted, but when Busted broke up in 2005, I quickly became obsessed with McFly
instead. I don't know what it was –– maybe I inherited my parents'...show more content...
Now, as a teenager, music is my lifeline. I can't begin to count the number of times music has
soothed me, calmness washing over me in waves as I put in my earphones and tune out my hectic
everyday life. In the turbulent teenage years, especially, I feel safe in the thought that music is
always going to be there for me. No matter how sad or upset or angry I feel, there's always a song
that can pick my mood up and make me feel happy again.
One song that's really had an impact on my life is Gold by Britt Nicole. The year I was twelve was
one of the worst years of my life. I remember trudging home after a particularly terrible day at
school: my "friends" were cruel to me, my heart was all kinds of broken, and it felt like I would
never be able to stop crying. Instead of going straight home my usual way, I decided to take a
shortcut and pass by the little park I liked to play in when I was younger, in hopes that would
comfort me. And then, I decided to listen to some music.
Gold was the first song that started playing, and I remember the exact lyrics that made me feel so
much better: Whatever you've been told, you're worth more than gold.
Ever since that day, music has been a huge comfort to me; no matter how bad I'm feeling, I can
always find a song that will make me feel better.
It's not just listening to music that I love: songwriting is one of my favourite ways to express myself,

  • 1. Romeo And Juliet Critical Analysis Throughout history, classic literature has appealed to modern audiences due to the relevance of themes in the piece. Playwright William Shakespeare's romantic tragedy Romeo and Juliet (1599) is a classic piece that explores the themes; love and impetuousness of youth. These themes are portrayed through the star–crossed lovers' story and still reflect the universal themes that people experience today. Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. This can be seen in Romeo and Juliet due to the degree that the young lovers go to for each other. This key theme is delineated when Romeo has a monologue about Juliet and how he feels about being banished to never see her again. He says, "'Tis torture and not mercy. Heaven is here, / Where Juliet lives, and every cat and dog / And little mouse, every unworthy thing, / Live here in heaven and may look on her, / But Romeo may not." Shakespeare uses animal imagery to portray how jealous Romeo is of something as menial as animals, as well as depicting how he feels about not being able to see Juliet. Animal imagery can also be linked to the concept of the Great Chain of Being to show how inferior every living thing is compared to Juliet. This links with the theme love because it shows the audience how admirable Juliet is through Romeo's eyes. The Great Chain of Being was an important belief in the Elizabethan worldview. However, even if the beliefs about humankind have radically changed, the magnitude of the love Romeo feels is timeless. In modern texts, there are scenes or chapters that mirror the type of over–exaggerated language used in the play, also known as a hyperbole. Shakespeare uses hyperboles to accent Romeo's overly dramatic character. Another example of love in the play is when Juliet divulges into her soliloquy about seeing Romeo again. Love is shown when she says, "Give me my Romeo, / and when he shall die, / Take him and cut him out in little stars, / And he will make the face of heaven so fine / That all the world will be in love with night / And pay no worship to the garish sun." Shakespeare uses celestial imagery to portray the depth of love that Romeo and Juliet share. The celestial imagery also shows the audience Juliet's feelings, especially when Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Abortion Many individuals fail to understand the sheer magnitude of bloodshed, tribulation, and despair legalized abortion has initiated into the human experience – both in the United States and worldwide. Far more human lives have been violently ended by this immoral decision than any other war or genocide in history. It is one of the most controversial issues in today's society.Abortion is the intentional decision to murder a human fetus by chemical, medical or surgical procedures. Those who support the rights of abortion argue that women should be able to decide what can be done to their bodies, yet the unborn baby inside a woman is a living being, and terminating that pregnancy is the equivalent of murder. These innocent children should not be held responsible for your mistakes. Don't terminate pregnancy now, because you may not have children in the future at all. To commence with, during development a human being grows at an astonishingly rapid pace. According to Guttmacher Institute, "89% of all abortions in the United States are performed in the first trimester of pregnancy." (2005). In the first trimester (16 weeks), the baby's eyes and eyelids, nose, mouth, and tongue have formed, and the baby's reproductive organs also develop. The cardiovascular system is the first system that begins to function. The baby's heart begins to circulate their own blood, similar to his mother's heart, twenty–two days after conception. Electrical brain activity can be detected at six or seven Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Personal Essay: The Dangers Of Speeding The Dangers of Speeding I was pulled over by a police officer because I was going faster than I was supposed to in that designated area. The zone was a sixty–five mile per hour zone and I was do eighty. I have agreed to the terms that I was found guilty of this and now come to you the reader explaining why it may be dangerous to be speeding in certain areas and ultimately everywhere. During this experience I have learned that there are many consequences for not driving safe, because there is never a good reason to speed. I have learned that it is extremely dangerous to speed and that there will be consequences, even if they are minor like, obtaining a ticket, and occasionally they are major, like killing running into someone else. It does not matter what happens after, you should not be speeding ever because there is never a good...show more content... No matter the situation there is no reason for someone to be speeding. Only in emergencies and you should have on your emergency lights to avoid trouble. Many people forget what they are doing, however that should never happen. When you are driving you should always be aware of your surroundings and you should be alert at all times and ready for anything to happen. In order to do this you need to be going at an appropriate speed and be prepared to stop for anything that may occur to you or any others while driving. I have learned in this experience that speeding is not something that you should take lightly and worry about it when you actually get caught or when something awful happens. It is not worth losing your license, money, or even someone's life. There is no excuse for speeding and it is no one's fault except your own. I am very disappointed in myself because I have been raised to follow the rules and always do the right thing no matter the consequences, and I was taught to always drive safe and do not drive faster than I need to. I never need to drive fast because nothing is more important than the lives of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Personal Reflection Paper On Working Throughout this essay, I reflect on the semester that I had whilst undertaking 2031HSV Working in Organisations. Topics are discussed such as, new areas I encountered, skills and knowledge I have that I was previously unaware of, as well as the challenges that I faced throughout the semester. Firstly within this essay, I would like to discuss areas that were new to me throughout this course. I believe that working in groups will be extremely beneficial throughout my future social work career. However, working within such a large group (group of 11 people) was an extremely different concept than what I was accustomed to. I found throughout my reflection upon the semester that working in large groups (in contrast to working individually) posed many positive and negative qualities. Beginning with the strengths I recognised and rejoiced in the fact that there was a variety of different people that I had the perfect opportunity to get to know better. As the semester advanced, I become familiarised to each individual's strengths and weaknesses within the group, as well as my own. As a group we were able to thrive of the different experiences and expertise that other member could bring to the group, as well as compensate for other group members skill limitations with an empathetic and non–judgmental attitude. Thus overall making the group that I was assigned to, a very enjoyable group of people. As stated previously large group work, is a new concept to me, therefore the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Throughout human history, many ancient civilizations have come and gone, obtaining and leaving behind irreplaceable knowledge. In the modern days, much research and information in the medical field came from the people of ancient Egypt. Although they lived during the early years of human existence, they have acquired exceptional data. Ancient Egypt has been a major contributor to modern day medicine, for they have given knowledge of hygiene, surgery, the uses of herbs, and the medical papyri. The Egyptian need to be clean and hygienic has greatly influenced many people in this time and age, preventing what could cause medical damage. The fact is, back in ancient...show more content... In the modern day world, there are still some remedies and treatments practiced that was discovered by the Egyptians. Some herbal and natural remedies used in modern day time include mint and Aloe Vera, while their other herbal medicines provided a base for our everyday medicines, such as antibiotics and pain killers. When it came to pain killers, it is recorded that ancient Egyptians had an understanding and used "natural remedies to control pain long before Europeans figured out the natural powers of such herbs" (Gordon). They understood and used multiple herbs and natural elements to rid themselves of disease and parasites. In Egypt, they treated worms with pomegranates, later proven by "modern medical studies [show] ... that the ancient Egyptians were absolutely right to treat worms with the fruit" (Gordon). This is because, "modern scientists confirmed that the high tannin content in pomegranate can actually paralyze worm" (Gordon). As for everyday remedies, the Egyptian also used the soothing powers of the Aloe Vera plant to calm burning skin and mint to relieve gastric pain. The ancient Egyptians relied greatly on their natural resources and provided a stepping stone for the medicine in today's world, although we would never know about their discoveries if it hadn't been for the way they kept a written record of their Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Stalingrad was called Tsaritsyn until 1925, it was then renamed Stalingrad in honor of Josef Stalin. The cities name was changed again in 1961 to Volgograd, meaning Volga City. This monumental battle is considered a turning point in the war on the Eastern Front. The invading Gerans saw the conquering of Stalingrad as essential to their campaign in Russia, because from this strategic point on the Volga River they could launch further assaults in the Caucasus. Hitler was stubborn and made poor decisions and assumption. Stalingrad, located in Southwest Russia on the Volga River was a major industrial city and a communication center for theSoviet Union, and was also named after the Soviet leader Josef Stalin. This made the city important to Stalin and also important to Hitler because he hated Stalin. The turning point of the battle came with a huge Soviet counteroffensive (code–named Operation Uranus) which was planned by Generals Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov, Nikolay Nikolayevich Voronov, and Aleksandr Mikhailovich Vasilevsky. It was launched in two spearheads, about 50 miles north and south of the German salient with Stalingrad at the tip. • 7. I Am A My Fears I Believe in Conquering My Fears My largest obstacle in this life will always be my own anxiety–ridden mind. Conquering my fears is one of the most terrifying, wonderful, and encouraging things I can achieve. Nevertheless, it is a difficult goal to reach. It is as if a battle is continually being waged in my head whenever I face something unfamiliar. Once these worries set in I retreat into myself, believing I must conquer my fears alone. This is a difficult idea to break free of, remembering that I am not alone, that someone much larger than I can, and will help, becomes almost impossible. However, God is not one to stand by while his children hurt, when I am falling to pieces, God always steps in, one way or another, to remind me that I am, and I never will be, alone. I am glad I have this apprehension because it motivates me and makes life much more gratifying. This fear has brought me closer to God in many ways, anxiety serves as a reminder that I need to let go and give every worry to the Lord. I believe, when I control my fears instead of running from them, I improve as a Christian and am able to accomplish more in life. I first remember allowing fear to control me when I was ten years old and my father was deployed in Kyrgyzstan with the Air Force. Because he was not directly involved in combat operations, I did not fear for his safety. Nevertheless, it was the first time I experienced a long separation from one of my parents and I felt less than secure. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

When kids get caught bullying at physically at school they then take it to electronic devices where it is harder for them to get caught. They produce face accounts on websites to torment and torture kids that are weaker than them, such as making fake accounts on Facebook or MySpace. In this study it says "There is a difficulty of detecting the misbehavior, identifying the offending party, proving of verifying the wrongdoing" (Hinduja, S., &Patchin, J.W. 2010). We need to set rules and make sure that cyber bullying comes to an end. People that bully others should face severe consequences. We should have laws and rules that lean heavily against bullying. I believe that schools should hold more meetings for teachers to educate kids on the severe outcomes of bullying. Schools are becoming better at educating kids on the effects of bullying, "Fortunately, schools have strategies to prevent bullying. These strategies are most effective when they are part of a comprehensive prevention program implemented at the district, school, and classroom levels. In fact, it's important for people to understand the true meaning of the purpose they have in life so that they may live well here on Earth. Philosophers, such as Socrates, Aristotle, and Confucius began to question the life of a human being and what it meant to be a human being. Each of these philosophers has their own philosophy or worldview of the best life a human being can live, with the concept of having wisdom and virtue being the key components. In fact, each of these philosophers expresses the importance of having a life full of wisdom and virtue based off what they describe as the best life for a human being. Socrates, according the Apology, describes the best life for a human being is to live the examined life by having a "care for the soul". Basically, he believes that people should examine their lives by asking questions and effectively prove it be true and know it for themselves rather than to rely on someone else's word for it to be right or true. Essentially, this is the very thing that Socrates discovered about the meaning of wisdom as he attempts to solve the Delphic riddle that "no one is wiser than Socrates." He discovered that the people who claimed to be wise, such as the politicians, poets and artisans were not really wise; they just appeared to be. It was not an easy decision moving to a different country, leaving behind everything and everybody, but I had the anxiety of traveling and seeing this new world that I had seen only in the movies, the land of Christopher Columbus, where Indians and African–Americans lived unified on a vast territory. I still remember the feeling when my parents said that we are moving to America. It was the time when I felt everything around the world had been stopped, and I did not know what I should do next. I was unable to decide whether life was making me move forward or it would cause me to face more trouble than achievement. I was amazed by looking at the Diversity of people. The Causes And Consequences Of The Cold War The Cold War In 1945, the United States and Soviet Union were allies, triumphant in World War II, which ended with total victory for Soviet and American forces over Adolf Hitler's Nazi empire in Europe. Within a few years, yet, wartime allies became mortal enemies, locked in a global struggle–military, political, economic, ideological–to prevail in a new "Cold War. Was it the Soviets, who reneged on their agreements to allow the people of Eastern Europe to determine their own fates by imposing totalitarian rule on territories unlucky enough to fall behind the "Iron Curtain?" Or was it the Americans, who ignored the Soviets' legitimate security concerns, sought to intimidate the world with the atomic bomb, and pushed to expand their own international influence and market dominance? The tensions that would later grow into Cold War became evident as early as 1943, when the "Big Three" allied leaders–American President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and Soviet Premier Josef Stalin–met in Tehran to coordinate strategy. Poland, which sits in an unfortunate position on the map, squeezed between frequent enemies Russia and Germany, became a topic for heated debate. The Poles, then under German occupation, had not one but two governments–in–exile–one Communist, one anticommunist–hoping to take over the country upon its liberation from the Nazis. A few of the songs were older and took us back to our childhood, to the days of playing tag and jump rope in the schoolyard, such as "Hit Me Baby One More Time," by Britney Spears, and "Wannabe," by the Spice Girls. Other songs were a bit more recent and were current hits, and a few more were songs that were not memorable. As mentioned before the restaurant style in itself is homelike in the dining section. I took note of the fact that every television set that was on within the restaurant had a sports event on. Banks generate money by mobilizing short–term savings of the people converting into deposits at lower interest rate, and then lending these funds in long–term loans at higher rates of interest, so it is quite risky for banks to mismatch their lending interest rate. Liquidity is measured by the level of earnings, the fifth component of CAMEL Framework is liquidity (stability of customer, whether loans and deposits are well matched and overall liquidity position), and it is an important element for both good and bad banks. All banks are highly concerned for their liquidity risk; i.e., the problem which arise due to the bank failure in meeting its current financial obligations (e.g., depositors) because of inadequate current assets such as cash and quickly cash type marketable securities, Specifically at the time of economic recession and to avoid these type of problems every bank tries to analysis its liquidity position regularly and make arrangements to avoid such problem..Laruccia and Revoltella (2000) found that banks with low net loans to assets ratio (good liquidity position) tend to obtain better BFSRs assigned by Moody's.
