Descriptive Essay : A Trip To The Beach
The warm breeze of the ocean air flies past my face. The heat of the yellow sun was sizzling,
beating down against my skin, tanning and burning it within seconds. Beach goers were crowded
around in all directions. Seagulls gliding past the groups of people, scouting for dropped or
forgotten food to eat. Their little footprints marking a trail in the sand all over the place, going in a
million different directions, searching for their next meal. I take in the exquisiteness of it all, the
blue–green waves crashing into the sandy shore, making white foam and bubbles wash into the
sea, little boys and girls that are digging in the bright white sand running away from the small
waves before they get wet. The beach is a stunning place to be; there's just something about the
ocean waves and the sand between my toes that makes me just want to stay there forever. The
sand was a scorching heat, it burned our feet as we eagerly walked down to the ocean shore. Sea
oats (tallgrass important to sand dunes and beach plant life) and tiny red and black ants were
seen everywhere, covering the sand until we got closer to the sea. Small pieces of bright
seashells were scattered all over the place, cutting and poking our feet as we walked around.
Cigarette butts and trash from past visitors littered the beautiful sand. The beach was deep,
making our feet sink down with every step. Shoes made walking around the sand hard, as they
would just get filled with the white sand and make our feet heavier to lift up from the ground.
People were everywhere, their brightly colored umbrellas and towels covering the entirety of the
beach, adults and kids alike were rushing out into the waves with colorful surfboards and animal
floaties. My purple bag chair was sitting just in the right spot for the waves to flow up to my feet
and back down again. After awhile, the sand that's being taken in from the soft waves starts sinking
the chair legs down. The chair starts leaning forwards, almost completely knocking me into the wet,
sticky sand. Brightly colored Seashells come floating up next to me with the crashing waves, where
I am low enough to the ground that I can quickly scoop them up before the ocean takes them away
again. The beach is full of

I walked along the beach. As I was walking I could feel the fresh smell of the beach like it was an air
freshener but it also smelled that gave me a tingle in my nose. As I kept walking along the beach I
could feel the light breeze coming against me. This fresh air felt warm as I felt like I was sleeping in
a comfortable bed. I kept walking in the beach, as I did it felt like an escape to all my problems and
also my stress. Beach felt like a solution to all my problems and could be open with anything.
As I stroll along, I could feel the soft smooth sand under my feet. The sand was very hot and I
walked through it felt like I was walking on a burning grill. The sand was mixed with a different
coloured shells. The light from the sun shined on the shell which reflected onto me creating a
rainbow. My foot was making marks on the beach as I took every step, these marks remained
there until the water came and erased it away. As I kept walking, I looked around and it felt like I
was having the best time of life. The bright shining sun went through my cold skin and give me a
feeling of excitement. When I kept walking I could see the birds roaming around the sky like a pack
of wolves making irritating squeaky noises as it is hungry and trying to find its prey. The sky
turned from dark blue sky to a bright shimmery blue sky. Soft, fluffy big clouds were covering the
sky, as it started to split away. As it split away, the sun restored and shined on the waves and the
cold water started boiling. As these waves dashed, the noises soothed me every time.
I began walking towards the beach and I stopped at the edge of the beach where I decided to put
my toes in the water. As soon as my toes in the water I got this light shiver in my body, where I
felt like it touched my soul. I could feel softness when the water covers my leg. At this time, I
could remember the time when I used to play with sand and water. I decide to come close to the
beach and I could hear fishes screaming frightened of their preys that is looking to eat them. These
birds have been trying to find their lunch as they are hungry for it. I can see the dolphins jumping
around with a smile on their life. It feels like they having the best time of their life, as

Descriptive Essay On The Beach
Beaches are known for being a place to relax; the beach I went to was a run–of–the–mill beach, tan
sand with rocks next to an aqua sea, I was there with my Mother and family on a cloudless day in
summer 2009.Nevertheless, we were on the beach, it was filled with umbrellas of all colors,
filling the beach like a canvas with hundreds of strokes on it. Starting our trip started with setting
up our blanket and umbrella so we could sit down to relax at the start, but we all wanted to head
out and swim so I put on my yellow goggles and arm floaters with dolphins on them, heading into
the water which was reasonably warm in a 90–degree, cloudless day. Eventually, we were fairly deep
into the water, the goggles and arm floaters were making sure I kept above the water as well as
not inhale any, it was fun splashing my family or going underwater to test how far we could see
which was four inches. Suddenly my Mother had screeched "Just stand sideways, you'll be fine!"
abruptly, I saw it towering over us, a shadow coming towards us, I started to run away, or at least
make an attempt to. Ordinarily, I would have done as told, but fear consumed me, my only
thoughts were heading to shore where I would be safe from the wave, I barely went half a foot
away before it grabbed me. The wave grabbed on, dragged me to the middle where I couldn't move
up to inhale air or push myself off the bottom to jump, I was trapped under the water, waves above
taunting knowing I was trapped. Running

Descriptive Essay On Beach Vacation
My family has been looking forward to our annual beach vacation since last year's trip to
Alabama. Although it has been a long, winding journey for two days, hauling through five states
and having a personal concert in the passenger seat for fourteen hours, it was all worth it by the
time we make it. Beach Boulevard is overflowing with giant houses, palm trees, stores, and
thousands of other activities we are in a position to do. Everyone in the car is so antsy, we roll our
windows down and breathe in the sweet, warm Alabama air. My eyes locked on my phone, I count
down the miles until we arrive at our destination. Ten miles... Five miles... Three miles... One mile...
Two–Hundred feet... "You have arrived at your destination," Siri informs me. Pulling into the
driveway, not a single soul waits for the car to stop completely. We leap out of the vehicle, hugging
my distant relatives from Louisiana and rapidly begin sprinting down to the water. My friend,
Kambri, and I are flinging sand behind us, with the wind blasting against our faces. Finally arriving
to the ocean, we stand shoulder to shoulder along the shore, taking it all in. Silently, we listen to the
continuous, calming crashes of water, allowing it to splash up our legs, for the salty breeze to blow
through our hair, and the rays of the sun shine on our pale adolescent bodies. I have never felt more
at home than I do right now, in this moment in time.
My extended family promptly begins to unpack the loaded vehicles. Opening the wide truck
tailgates, there is not even room for a fly to buzz around back there. Stuffed to the top, the bed of
the truck was full of over packed clothes, unhealthy sugary snacks, tubs packed to the rim with
bottles of sunscreen, and of course, a plethora of sand toys. Us kids toss the bags at the top of the
winding staircase, quickly scoping out our temporary house for the week. As we make it up to our
room, we do not skip a beat unzipping our suitcases to find the superb fitted, blue bikini for our
first day in paradise. Before any adult has time to summon us back downstairs to help them finish
unloading the cars, we are out the door and headed down to the beach. On our journey down, we
each grab our newly purchased, Aztec

As you walk on the rustic wooden bridge that leads to the never–ending sand on the shore of the
Panama City Beach, you feel the bright sun beaming at you and hear the sounds of the thrashing
waves against the gritty golden sand. The smell of the salty ocean and the burning sensation of the
sand against the feet of those who forgot flip–flops are overwhelmed as they walk off the bridge.
The sky is a never ending blue with occasional clouds and airplanes that pass by with commercials,
and sometimes the chirping seagulls that scavenge for the sight of food. The beach is a place like
no other with the crowds of people, the scenery of the water and the sky combined, and the trillions
of small sand grains. The first thing that is seen by the naked eye is the magnificent site of the
beach filled with crowds of people. When people walk on the old wooden bridge, there is the
clutter of people who pose for the perfect photo of the vibrant colors of the ocean and the breeze
that blows as soft as a baby. However, the sand on the beach is covered with blankets upon
blankets of women tanning, children building sand castles, and men trying to relax and enjoy the
vacation from the endless days of work. The children in an array of colorful swimwear build
almost perfect sand castles, while others play in the water with boogie boards and rush against tides
of the seaweed infested waters. As the eye is averted from the children to the sky, the colonies of
seagulls are found, sitting atop

Descriptive Essay : A Day At The Beach
As I stood there, on the beach, glancing at the ocean in awe of the beautiful sight, a sudden gust of
wind blew past me. Each individual strand of my hair crossed my face, the sun played peek–a–boo
as it made its appearance just above the horizon, as if it were too scared to show its' beautiful light.
The smell of the sea filled my nose as I took in the fresh air. The sand was filled with corals, with a
collection of many sea shells, all of which had their own uniqueness in shape, size and color;
however, the sand felt like a bed full of soft comforters. The way the ice–cold water moved the sand
and flowed onto my feet and between my toes, made my heart race. It was as soft and delicate as
a newborn; the tiny grains of sand were so fine that it could not possibly be seen without a
microscope. The waves sounded as if they were singing a soothing song to me, causing me to
look back on all of my past memories and drawing me closer to them. They were inviting me in
with their eternal arms, but my feet could not listen because the frigid waves penetrated my feet. It
was as if I were stuck. My feet were planted, my feet would not move. It was as if they were frozen
to the ground and could not possibly take a step, therefore, I sat down, watching the sun rise higher
and higher, lighting up the beautiful morning sky. As the time gradually went by, the warm rays of
sun glowed; with a cheerful, good morning, reaching down towards me and shining a beam of light

The Beach
You have been in the car for a very long three days. You have sat in a line of cars 10 miles long.
You have endured your annoying siblings, stressed out parents and the cramped space of the car.
You have eaten junk food and soda for days. Your legs are screaming to move, you think you will
never arrive. You have heard rumors about the beach. Sand so white it sparkles, water crystal clear,
ships the size of buildings, and hotel rooms the sizes of houses. You finally start to see the first
signs of the ocean first the tall tan coconut trees, then the smell of the salt water, and then the roar
of the waves. Then you finally see it the ocean, so big and so blue. Full of life, adventure, and
discovery.

The food at the beach is amazing and one of kind. You decide to getcrab legs at the buffet, but you
don 't know how to eat them so you ask your dad. Your dad looks at you and says "Son, seafood is
the best thing ever created". You tell your dad "We'll see". After taking your first bite of crab you
finally realize what all the praise is about. You tell your dad "You were right seafood is the best".
After you and your family are done eating you continue on the boardwalk walk. As you are
walking you can 't help but look into all the stores and surf shop windows. You want everything in
there but you know your parents will say no. Your parents do however let you go into one surf
shop that has little turtles. You beg your parents to let you get one, you almost break them, but
they said they would decide towards the end of the week. After you are done walking, your
family decides to get some some ice cream. You find this ice cream shop with 50 different flavors
you don 't know what you 're going to choose, but you eventually decide on mint chocolate chip.
The mint chocolate chip is really good and maybe even better than the locale ice cream shop back at
home.
After you 're done with ice cream you head back to the hotel after letting your stomach settle. Your
family decides to go crabbing, you have never been crabbing before and don't know what to expect.
The first shock comes when you realize you have to touch the crabs to get them out of the net. The

They way I see things, life is different at the beach. Time doesn't move hour to hour, but moment
to moment. We live by the whipping currents, play by the ever changing tides, and follow the
direction of the yellow globe in the sky. In my experience, trips to the beach never fail to make my
heart giddy and rid my life of any obstacles, at least temporarily. For me, looking out at the
never–ending ocean is like looking through a special pair of glasses. I see the world with a
different point of view. Everything seems peaceful and serene; nothing is too troubled and no one
too anxious. A trip to the beach will completely overwhelm your senses. What do I get most anxious
about when I go to the beach? Sprinting, tearing, racing to the ocean. Regarding nothing but the
crystal blue, balmy, water and feeling pure contentment. But in my rush to get to the water, my
care for the sights around me seem to slip my mind. I glance around, and at first sight one might
see a few teenagers on summer break, in their Nemo colored swimsuits and shameless black
sunglasses, gamboling around and bubbling with joy. You might see the few mothers daring enough
to bring their giggling toddlers, in bright bubblegum pink hats that match the shade of their sweet,
sunburnt, little, cheeks. Look around a little bit more. Open your eyes a little wider. Skim the
surface of the water topped with chalky white foam and teeming with meager, little creatures of the
sea whose shells spiral around like a staircase in the most grand of castles for the most grand of
princesses. Watch the thick, waterlogged sand castles crash against the cozy, pristine sand beneath
your feet. Scan the sky and take a minute to notice the alabaster white seagulls that cackle above
your head and cheat french fries out of the hands of awestruck tourists. Stare out at the mysterious
crashing waves and take note of the ash colored pelicans flinging themselves into the water with a
splash and reappearing with an outstretched beak full of terrified fish. Now inch forward into the
icy water. Feel the rush of the waves as they try to sweep you into the ocean. Try to stay balanced as
the sand teams up with them and races out from beneath your feet. Close your eyes and let the

We walk down old, crumbling stairs to see a white sand beach and blue, sinuous waters ahead.
Every step down we take, the distinct smell of the water enters our noses and exits clean and
untouched as we inhale out. On the beach, families are sitting on their blankets and folding chairs,
with their umbrellas open to hide them from the harmful rays of the sun. Kids run around and
splash each other in the cold waters of Lake Michigan. We find a nice spot on the beach, lay down
our towels, and sit down. The beach is one of the cleaner ones in New Buffalo, but pull tabs of cans,
gum wrappers, and glass lies beneath the sand. "It's a beautiful view, isn't it?" I hear someone say. A
few second later, I hear loud talking behind me and turn my head around. A new family has
arrived to the beach. I see a son, a daughter, a mother, and a father. The teenage kids go and get
themselves set up on the beach, only to sit down and scroll through their social media feeds, not
taking off their oversized american flag sweaters or ripped, blue jean shorts. The parents catch up
with the other family and talk about some vacation they took to the Bahamas last spring. I hear the
whole story, every detail of it to be exact, because it takes some time to learn how to block out the
background noise of relatives seeing each other after a month apart. Music, that everyone in this
community knows can be heard playing on a bluetooth speaker. As I observe the moving waves, I
think to myself, is this what

The waves are crashing. The sun is setting. People are laughing and
embracing under the sunset. I feel the sand squish slowly through my toes
as I gaily walk down the shoreline of the Outer Banks. My all time favorite
place to be is the beach. The weather at the beach is the most quarreling
of all places in the world. One minute you are relaxing lazily on the sandy
seashore reading a most invigorating book. I sit engrossed and allow the
foamy mist from the rampant ocean spray your face lightly as though it was
the touch of a feather. Off in the distance the sun begins to set in a
sleepy unhurried fashion. It is the most beautiful sight I have ever seen.

The gluey substance formed is untouchable by
any marketed adhesive. Finally, the time for construction has come. I
smooth, pile, pound, and shape my massive sand castle into perfection. Now
that I have my fortress, I need to find the ideal shells and driftwood to
add the finishing touches. With glistening and shimmering shells as windows,
my castle stands out among all the others on the beach. The search for the
ideal driftwood has paid off tenfold; a selective driftwood bridge that
doesn't allow foes to pass carefully protects my castle. With work and
creativity, my sand fortress will be the best on the shore.
A wide variety of sports is played on the beach. There is nothing like a
nail biting, sand eating, and net crashing game of paddleball. Injury isn't
thought of while on the beach because there is a bed of pillowy soft sand to
land on. Everyone plays hard and tries their best. Competition is the most
fun when it is against friends. No one really cares who wins. The
environment allows me to relax and enjoy the game. Another great activity is
windsurfing. Skimming along the top of the calm glassy water at high speeds
is a claming experience. Crashing into the water at high speeds, however, is
not calming at all.

thought. As you are sitting in your cozy home watching the sunset and

For this assignment I decided to head out to Docweiler Beach near LAX. I love the beach, not so
much for going swimming or getting wet but more to lay in the sand and just relax to the
soothing sound of the waves, especially nice in this hot weather. I decided to bring my sister for
the ride so it's not to lonely and set up around a more deserted part for more concentration and
relaxation. I also chose Dockweiler Beach because there I could get a sense of all the 5 ancient
elements all in one sitting, with all the elements interacting. Water clashing against the sand to create
a calming sound, the wind riding against the waves causes a cool chill down my spine and the man
made fire to keep warm. I can feel the earth element in the sand getting in my toes and all over my
clothes to later find more in my underwear. The Air element is strong along the beach, getting my
hair all over my face as well as making kites fly high. I see the fire element being used to light the
bonfires along the beach to keep people warm on the windy beach or to probably make S'mores.
The water element as I can see is the giant ocean in front of me going as far as I can see with no
ending. Another reason I don't like going into the water, the ocean is terrifying especially when
you don't know how to swim. Then there is the void element which in this case is me and my mind
observing this presence and writing it out in this essay. Officially today there is a total of 118
elements in the periodic table. These ancient four elements originated from the ancient Greeks and
then the fifth element aether (void) was added by Aristotle. Before the fifth element the first four
elements which were earth, wind, water, and fire, represented to the ancient Greeks as well as
modern science the four states of matter. In these 4 states of matter we have solid representing the
earth element, liquid representing the water element, gas representing the air element, and plasma
representing the fire element. The ancient 5 elements are active is every bodies daily routine
schedule. It's something we see every day and don't notice the affects they have on us. Looking
more closely to everyday life we have earth. Earth is what we walk on, it has a variety of

Ask any of your friends or family what they think of when you mention hot Summer days and I'd
guess they are like a lot of mine and immediately picture beaches. Some of them may think of the
always warm climates of San Diego, Miami, or even Hawaii. Some might even venture to dream
of the sands of the French and Italian Rivieras. What I dream of though is just a bit different. I
always imagine the words "beach day" scrawled in the sand with pieces of seashells underlining the
letters somewhere along the Pacific coast of Oregon. While the western half of the state is known
for its cooler and wetter climate, the Summer season can be quite temperate and makes its beaches a
perfect destination for escapes from the high heat. Once you get there, in addition to simply enjoying
relaxing in the sand and splashing in the water, you will find plenty of activities along the way to
make many new Summer memories.
Start at the northern end of Oregon's portion of Highway 101 and you will find Astoria. If you are
of the generation that embraced the now classic "Goonies", you will find yourself recognizing this
location immediately. Much of the movie was filmed here and there is a yearly Goonies Day
celebration every June. Even if you are not a follower of the cinematic history of the area you can
enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surrounding ocean and mountains by climbing the spiral staircase
of the 600 foot Astoria Column. The Column was completed as a marker commemorating the first

By far one of the most beautiful and tranquil places I have visited, the Sea Pines Resort on Hilton
Head Island, South Carolina leaves me in awe every time. The overall beauty of the island is
second to none and makes you want to stay forever. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an
end, like when the week at the luxurious resort is over. The number of things to do on the resort is
suitable for all ages and all personalities alike, from biking, shopping, recreational activities, or just
going to the beach, Sea Pines truly does have something for everyone. The Sea Pines Resort on
Hilton Head Island is one of the most beautiful resorts on the east coast. Highlighted by its
beautiful beaches, extensive bike paths, and world class scenery, this is a place I will never
forget. Like any good resort, Sea Pines is known for its beautiful and extensive beaches. As soon
as I get near the coast, I can hear the squawking of seagulls, the crashing of waves, and the low
chatter of people. As I get closer, beach goers wash off the sand and salt in the outdoor shower,
people are ordering food and drinks at the beach house, and kids lug boogie boards and toys off
the beach to their cars. A tan, worn wooden boardwalk bridges the gap between the patio of the
beach club and the beginning of the beach, gently sloping off until the sand takes over. The sand

Good Mornin'!
It was beautiful.
It was the summer before senior year. I was invited to go on a beach trip with five other friends. Our
journey started as soon as I saw the sign, "Next exit Outer Banks". When we entered the city we
lived in for the week I was in awe.
It was beautiful. Our house we lived in was amazing, there were two floors in the house. The
lower floor had four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The boys, Robert, Luke and Jake slept in one
room and the girls, Olivia, Chloe and I slept in the room beside them. The upper floor had one
bedroom and bathroom, a giant living room and connected was the dining room and kitchen.
When you walked out onto the upstairs balcony you could see a beautiful view. If you looked
down you could see our private pool and hot tub. If you looked straight out, the ocean was right
there. Everywhere you walked you could smell the strong amazing aroma of the ocean. Once
everyone unpacked and settled in we all walked to the beach.
The group and I was so lucky because the beach was only a block away. As soon as we walked off
the walk ways that were above the dunes, my feet were on fire. I realized we were on the hot
sand now. The scenery we all stepped into was breathtaking. I for one got stuck in the moment
and took in the view while the world around me kept spinning. I heard Olivia yell my name to "Let's
go!" She said it in such an excited voice. I ran up to her and gave her an enormous hug because I
was just so happy. Chloe was so

poignant smell invades your nose. I believe there is no smell anyplace else on earth that can
establish a place as profoundly as the salty air of the ocean, nowhere where the air holds as much
fragrance and warmth, nowhere quite like here. Each wave becomes a curling finger, brushing every
stone with a gentle caress, creeping up the beach, reaching out to your feet, tickling them, turning
them to ice cubes. The placid metronomic

Descriptive Essay On The Beach House
When walking down the beach with my toes squishing through the sand, I knew I was where I
belonged. Smiling at everyone we passed, a certain girl caught my eye. She was relaxing in a chair
right at the water's edge where the waves crashed over her feet. Accompanying her was a dog with a
smile from ear to ear as it pranced around in the rolling waves. Most people would simply swoon
over the dog, but I knew what I was seeing was my future. Each summer my family and I travel to
my uncle's beach house in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. He was able to design his own house
from the ground up on his own piece of property within a private community. The property is only a
short golf cart ride away from the beach entrance. I always count down the days in excitement for a
stress–free weekend. I know it is my chance to finally unwind and get a true break from all the stress
induced by work and school–related projects. The beach has always been my safe haven– a place
where I can physically feel my head clear up and spend valuable time with my family. All
throughout high school we are expected to have our futures planned out. I could never really see
a clear image of what mine my entail. I could never quite pinpoint my goal in life, until I was
sitting on the private beach last summer. I knew I wanted to design my own house to fit my
interests. I knew I wanted the financial freedom to be able to own my beach house on a private
beach. I want to watch my dogs prance around in the water

Descriptive Essay: A Day At The Beach
As I arrive at the beach, I am greeted by a cluster of familiar faces of fellow family members. I
slowly break away from the crowd and reach one particular vantage point from which I can gaze out
at the lazy sea. Gently swashing against the shore and receding, the sea is a brilliant–blue blanket of
comfort for the shore. The golden sand sways around as the waves gently deposit galaxies of
seashells for my eyes to relish. I can see children playing in the mud, their feet devoured by where
the sand and tide meet, it looks like a swirling pool of frothy caramel and chocolate. Avid athletes
gallop up and down the shore, kicking the sand behind them. As I look towards the sea ,
brilliant–blue waves crash against the shore and glaring vessels of light embody the sea with a tinge
of gold. A lone yacht can be seen in the tide, like a rubber duck in a bath, there is a genial glimmer
in it's lights as the waves gently bobble in the distance. I crane my neck upwards and allow my
skin to soak up the rivers of light. Under the blue blanket of the seemingly infinite sky, the clouds
are like...show more content...
The festival of flavorsome scents provoke my stomach to rumble like thunder in a jar. I can sense
astringent fish, fiery chicken and savoury spices and then guide my nose towards the barbeque.
Soon, I can hear the laughter of my little cousins spraying each other with water guns, pouring
buckets of oceans of water, and the scowl of my agitated aunt. The briny air carries a different
smell which is also spicy, my nose guides me to a couple of BBQ chicken wings and a succulent
hamburger which I impatiently devour, the sauces feel like streams of lava as they flow down my
tongue . A vast array of food sleeps on top of the warm picnic blanket, untouched and unconsumed,
and the sound of my aunties and uncles jabbering in the background become the soundtrack of my

  • 2. Descriptive Essay : A Trip To The Beach The warm breeze of the ocean air flies past my face. The heat of the yellow sun was sizzling, beating down against my skin, tanning and burning it within seconds. Beach goers were crowded around in all directions. Seagulls gliding past the groups of people, scouting for dropped or forgotten food to eat. Their little footprints marking a trail in the sand all over the place, going in a million different directions, searching for their next meal. I take in the exquisiteness of it all, the blue–green waves crashing into the sandy shore, making white foam and bubbles wash into the sea, little boys and girls that are digging in the bright white sand running away from the small waves before they get wet. The beach is a stunning place to be; there's just something about the ocean waves and the sand between my toes that makes me just want to stay there forever. The sand was a scorching heat, it burned our feet as we eagerly walked down to the ocean shore. Sea oats (tallgrass important to sand dunes and beach plant life) and tiny red and black ants were seen everywhere, covering the sand until we got closer to the sea. Small pieces of bright seashells were scattered all over the place, cutting and poking our feet as we walked around. Cigarette butts and trash from past visitors littered the beautiful sand. The beach was deep, making our feet sink down with every step. Shoes made walking around the sand hard, as they would just get filled with the white sand and make our feet heavier to lift up from the ground. People were everywhere, their brightly colored umbrellas and towels covering the entirety of the beach, adults and kids alike were rushing out into the waves with colorful surfboards and animal floaties. My purple bag chair was sitting just in the right spot for the waves to flow up to my feet and back down again. After awhile, the sand that's being taken in from the soft waves starts sinking the chair legs down. The chair starts leaning forwards, almost completely knocking me into the wet, sticky sand. Brightly colored Seashells come floating up next to me with the crashing waves, where I am low enough to the ground that I can quickly scoop them up before the ocean takes them away again. The beach is full of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay On The Beach I walked along the beach. As I was walking I could feel the fresh smell of the beach like it was an air freshener but it also smelled that gave me a tingle in my nose. As I kept walking along the beach I could feel the light breeze coming against me. This fresh air felt warm as I felt like I was sleeping in a comfortable bed. I kept walking in the beach, as I did it felt like an escape to all my problems and also my stress. Beach felt like a solution to all my problems and could be open with anything. As I stroll along, I could feel the soft smooth sand under my feet. The sand was very hot and I walked through it felt like I was walking on a burning grill. The sand was mixed with a different coloured shells. The light from the sun shined on the shell which reflected onto me creating a rainbow. My foot was making marks on the beach as I took every step, these marks remained there until the water came and erased it away. As I kept walking, I looked around and it felt like I was having the best time of life. The bright shining sun went through my cold skin and give me a feeling of excitement. When I kept walking I could see the birds roaming around the sky like a pack of wolves making irritating squeaky noises as it is hungry and trying to find its prey. The sky turned from dark blue sky to a bright shimmery blue sky. Soft, fluffy big clouds were covering the sky, as it started to split away. As it split away, the sun restored and shined on the waves and the cold water started boiling. As these waves dashed, the noises soothed me every time. I began walking towards the beach and I stopped at the edge of the beach where I decided to put my toes in the water. As soon as my toes in the water I got this light shiver in my body, where I felt like it touched my soul. I could feel softness when the water covers my leg. At this time, I could remember the time when I used to play with sand and water. I decide to come close to the beach and I could hear fishes screaming frightened of their preys that is looking to eat them. These birds have been trying to find their lunch as they are hungry for it. I can see the dolphins jumping around with a smile on their life. It feels like they having the best time of their life, as Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 5. Descriptive Essay On The Beach Beaches are known for being a place to relax; the beach I went to was a run–of–the–mill beach, tan sand with rocks next to an aqua sea, I was there with my Mother and family on a cloudless day in summer 2009.Nevertheless, we were on the beach, it was filled with umbrellas of all colors, filling the beach like a canvas with hundreds of strokes on it. Starting our trip started with setting up our blanket and umbrella so we could sit down to relax at the start, but we all wanted to head out and swim so I put on my yellow goggles and arm floaters with dolphins on them, heading into the water which was reasonably warm in a 90–degree, cloudless day. Eventually, we were fairly deep into the water, the goggles and arm floaters were making sure I kept above the water as well as not inhale any, it was fun splashing my family or going underwater to test how far we could see which was four inches. Suddenly my Mother had screeched "Just stand sideways, you'll be fine!" abruptly, I saw it towering over us, a shadow coming towards us, I started to run away, or at least make an attempt to. Ordinarily, I would have done as told, but fear consumed me, my only thoughts were heading to shore where I would be safe from the wave, I barely went half a foot away before it grabbed me. The wave grabbed on, dragged me to the middle where I couldn't move up to inhale air or push myself off the bottom to jump, I was trapped under the water, waves above taunting knowing I was trapped. • 6. Descriptive Essay On Beach Vacation My family has been looking forward to our annual beach vacation since last year's trip to Alabama. Although it has been a long, winding journey for two days, hauling through five states and having a personal concert in the passenger seat for fourteen hours, it was all worth it by the time we make it. Beach Boulevard is overflowing with giant houses, palm trees, stores, and thousands of other activities we are in a position to do. Everyone in the car is so antsy, we roll our windows down and breathe in the sweet, warm Alabama air. My eyes locked on my phone, I count down the miles until we arrive at our destination. Ten miles... Five miles... Three miles... One mile... Two–Hundred feet... "You have arrived at your destination," Siri informs me. Pulling into the driveway, not a single soul waits for the car to stop completely. We leap out of the vehicle, hugging my distant relatives from Louisiana and rapidly begin sprinting down to the water. My friend, Kambri, and I are flinging sand behind us, with the wind blasting against our faces. Finally arriving to the ocean, we stand shoulder to shoulder along the shore, taking it all in. Silently, we listen to the continuous, calming crashes of water, allowing it to splash up our legs, for the salty breeze to blow through our hair, and the rays of the sun shine on our pale adolescent bodies. I have never felt more at home than I do right now, in this moment in time. My extended family promptly begins to unpack the loaded vehicles. Opening the wide truck tailgates, there is not even room for a fly to buzz around back there. Stuffed to the top, the bed of the truck was full of over packed clothes, unhealthy sugary snacks, tubs packed to the rim with bottles of sunscreen, and of course, a plethora of sand toys. Us kids toss the bags at the top of the winding staircase, quickly scoping out our temporary house for the week. As we make it up to our room, we do not skip a beat unzipping our suitcases to find the superb fitted, blue bikini for our first day in paradise. Before any adult has time to summon us back downstairs to help them finish unloading the cars, we are out the door and headed down to the beach. On our journey down, we each grab our newly purchased, Aztec Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Descriptive Writing On The Beach As you walk on the rustic wooden bridge that leads to the never–ending sand on the shore of the Panama City Beach, you feel the bright sun beaming at you and hear the sounds of the thrashing waves against the gritty golden sand. The smell of the salty ocean and the burning sensation of the sand against the feet of those who forgot flip–flops are overwhelmed as they walk off the bridge. The sky is a never ending blue with occasional clouds and airplanes that pass by with commercials, and sometimes the chirping seagulls that scavenge for the sight of food. The beach is a place like no other with the crowds of people, the scenery of the water and the sky combined, and the trillions of small sand grains. The first thing that is seen by the naked eye is the magnificent site of the beach filled with crowds of people. When people walk on the old wooden bridge, there is the clutter of people who pose for the perfect photo of the vibrant colors of the ocean and the breeze that blows as soft as a baby. However, the sand on the beach is covered with blankets upon blankets of women tanning, children building sand castles, and men trying to relax and enjoy the vacation from the endless days of work. The children in an array of colorful swimwear build almost perfect sand castles, while others play in the water with boogie boards and rush against tides of the seaweed infested waters. As the eye is averted from the children to the sky, the colonies of seagulls are found, sitting atop Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Descriptive Essay : A Day At The Beach As I stood there, on the beach, glancing at the ocean in awe of the beautiful sight, a sudden gust of wind blew past me. Each individual strand of my hair crossed my face, the sun played peek–a–boo as it made its appearance just above the horizon, as if it were too scared to show its' beautiful light. The smell of the sea filled my nose as I took in the fresh air. The sand was filled with corals, with a collection of many sea shells, all of which had their own uniqueness in shape, size and color; however, the sand felt like a bed full of soft comforters. The way the ice–cold water moved the sand and flowed onto my feet and between my toes, made my heart race. It was as soft and delicate as a newborn; the tiny grains of sand were so fine that it could not possibly be seen without a microscope. The waves sounded as if they were singing a soothing song to me, causing me to look back on all of my past memories and drawing me closer to them. They were inviting me in with their eternal arms, but my feet could not listen because the frigid waves penetrated my feet. It was as if I were stuck. My feet were planted, my feet would not move. It was as if they were frozen to the ground and could not possibly take a step, therefore, I sat down, watching the sun rise higher and higher, lighting up the beautiful morning sky. As the time gradually went by, the warm rays of sun glowed; with a cheerful, good morning, reaching down towards me and shining a beam of light towards Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Descriptive Essay About Beach The Beach You have been in the car for a very long three days. You have sat in a line of cars 10 miles long. You have endured your annoying siblings, stressed out parents and the cramped space of the car. You have eaten junk food and soda for days. Your legs are screaming to move, you think you will never arrive. You have heard rumors about the beach. Sand so white it sparkles, water crystal clear, ships the size of buildings, and hotel rooms the sizes of houses. You finally start to see the first signs of the ocean first the tall tan coconut trees, then the smell of the salt water, and then the roar of the waves. Then you finally see it the ocean, so big and so blue. Full of life, adventure, and discovery. After unpacking and...show more content... The food at the beach is amazing and one of kind. You tell your dad "We'll see". After taking your first bite of crab you finally realize what all the praise is about. You tell your dad "You were right seafood is the best". After you and your family are done eating you continue on the boardwalk walk. As you are walking you can 't help but look into all the stores and surf shop windows. You want everything in there but you know your parents will say no. Your parents do however let you go into one surf shop that has little turtles. You beg your parents to let you get one, you almost break them, but they said they would decide towards the end of the week. After you are done walking, your family decides to get some some ice cream. • 10. Descriptive Essay : A Trip To The Beach They way I see things, life is different at the beach. Time doesn't move hour to hour, but moment to moment. We live by the whipping currents, play by the ever changing tides, and follow the direction of the yellow globe in the sky. In my experience, trips to the beach never fail to make my heart giddy and rid my life of any obstacles, at least temporarily. For me, looking out at the never–ending ocean is like looking through a special pair of glasses. I see the world with a different point of view. Everything seems peaceful and serene; nothing is too troubled and no one too anxious. A trip to the beach will completely overwhelm your senses. What do I get most anxious about when I go to the beach? Sprinting, tearing, racing to the ocean. Regarding nothing but the crystal blue, balmy, water and feeling pure contentment. But in my rush to get to the water, my care for the sights around me seem to slip my mind. I glance around, and at first sight one might see a few teenagers on summer break, in their Nemo colored swimsuits and shameless black sunglasses, gamboling around and bubbling with joy. You might see the few mothers daring enough to bring their giggling toddlers, in bright bubblegum pink hats that match the shade of their sweet, sunburnt, little, cheeks. Look around a little bit more. Open your eyes a little wider. Skim the surface of the water topped with chalky white foam and teeming with meager, little creatures of the sea whose shells spiral around like a staircase in the most grand of castles for the most grand of princesses. Watch the thick, waterlogged sand castles crash against the cozy, pristine sand beneath your feet. Scan the sky and take a minute to notice the alabaster white seagulls that cackle above your head and cheat french fries out of the hands of awestruck tourists. Stare out at the mysterious crashing waves and take note of the ash colored pelicans flinging themselves into the water with a splash and reappearing with an outstretched beak full of terrified fish. Now inch forward into the icy water. Feel the rush of the waves as they try to sweep you into the ocean. Try to stay balanced as the sand teams up with them and races out from beneath your feet. Close your eyes and let the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Descriptive Essay On The Beach We walk down old, crumbling stairs to see a white sand beach and blue, sinuous waters ahead. Every step down we take, the distinct smell of the water enters our noses and exits clean and untouched as we inhale out. On the beach, families are sitting on their blankets and folding chairs, with their umbrellas open to hide them from the harmful rays of the sun. Kids run around and splash each other in the cold waters of Lake Michigan. We find a nice spot on the beach, lay down our towels, and sit down. The beach is one of the cleaner ones in New Buffalo, but pull tabs of cans, gum wrappers, and glass lies beneath the sand. "It's a beautiful view, isn't it?" I hear someone say. A few second later, I hear loud talking behind me and turn my head around. A new family has arrived to the beach. I see a son, a daughter, a mother, and a father. The teenage kids go and get themselves set up on the beach, only to sit down and scroll through their social media feeds, not taking off their oversized american flag sweaters or ripped, blue jean shorts. The parents catch up with the other family and talk about some vacation they took to the Bahamas last spring. I hear the whole story, every detail of it to be exact, because it takes some time to learn how to block out the background noise of relatives seeing each other after a month apart. Music, that everyone in this community knows can be heard playing on a bluetooth speaker. As I observe the moving waves, I think to myself, is this what Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Descriptive Essay: The Beach The waves are crashing. The sun is setting. People are laughing and embracing under the sunset. I feel the sand squish slowly through my toes as I gaily walk down the shoreline of the Outer Banks. My all time favorite place to be is the beach. The weather at the beach is the most quarreling of all places in the world. One minute you are relaxing lazily on the sandy seashore reading a most invigorating book. I sit engrossed and allow the foamy mist from the rampant ocean spray your face lightly as though it was the touch of a feather. Off in the distance the sun begins to set in a sleepy unhurried fashion. It is the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. I smooth, pile, pound, and shape my massive sand castle into perfection. Now that I have my fortress, I need to find the ideal shells and driftwood to add the finishing touches. With glistening and shimmering shells as windows, my castle stands out among all the others on the beach. The search for the ideal driftwood has paid off tenfold; a selective driftwood bridge that doesn't allow foes to pass carefully protects my castle. With work and creativity, my sand fortress will be the best on the shore. A wide variety of sports is played on the beach. There is nothing like a nail biting, sand eating, and net crashing game of paddleball. Injury isn't

  • 14. Descriptive Essay On A Beach For this assignment I decided to head out to Docweiler Beach near LAX. I love the beach, not so much for going swimming or getting wet but more to lay in the sand and just relax to the soothing sound of the waves, especially nice in this hot weather. I decided to bring my sister for the ride so it's not to lonely and set up around a more deserted part for more concentration and relaxation. I also chose Dockweiler Beach because there I could get a sense of all the 5 ancient elements all in one sitting, with all the elements interacting. Water clashing against the sand to create a calming sound, the wind riding against the waves causes a cool chill down my spine and the man made fire to keep warm. I can feel the earth element in the sand getting in my toes and all over my clothes to later find more in my underwear. The Air element is strong along the beach, getting my hair all over my face as well as making kites fly high. I see the fire element being used to light the bonfires along the beach to keep people warm on the windy beach or to probably make S'mores. The water element as I can see is the giant ocean in front of me going as far as I can see with no ending. Another reason I don't like going into the water, the ocean is terrifying especially when you don't know how to swim. Then there is the void element which in this case is me and my mind observing this presence and writing it out in this essay. Officially today there is a total of 118 elements in the periodic table. These ancient four elements originated from the ancient Greeks and then the fifth element aether (void) was added by Aristotle. Before the fifth element the first four elements which were earth, wind, water, and fire, represented to the ancient Greeks as well as modern science the four states of matter. In these 4 states of matter we have solid representing the earth element, liquid representing the water element, gas representing the air element, and plasma representing the fire element. The ancient 5 elements are active is every bodies daily routine schedule. It's something we see every day and don't notice the affects they have on us. Looking more closely to everyday life we have earth. Earth is what we walk on, it has a variety of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Beach Descriptive Essay The beach is known for being a place to relax; the beach I went to was a run–of–the–mill beach, tan sand with rocks next to an aqua sea, I was there with my Mother and family on a cloudless day in summer 2009.Nevertheless we were on the beach, it was filled with umbrellas of all colors, filling the beach like a canvas with hundreds of strokes on it. Starting our trip started with setting up our blanket and umbrella so we could sit down to relax at the start, but we all wanted to head out and swim so I put on my yellow goggles and arm floaters with dolphins on them, heading into the water which was reasonably warm in 90 degree weather . We were fairly deep into the water, the goggles and arm floaters were making sure I kept above the water as well as not inhaling any, it was fun splashing my family or going underwater to test how far we could see which was four inches. Out of nowhere, my Mother had screeched "Just stand sideways, you'll be fine!",abruptly, I saw it towering over us, a shadow coming towards us, I started to run away, or at least make an attempt to. Fear consumes me ,my only thoughts were heading to shore where I would be safe from the wave, I barely went half a foot away before it grabbed me. It grabbed on, dragged me to the middle where I couldn't move up to inhale air or push myself off the bottom to jump, I was trapped under the water, waves above taunting knowing I was trapped. Water was running past , I started to feel a strong tug on my head, before I could realize what was going on, my goggles were dashing away with the water, but I could still open my eyes under the water without the sting of saline water in my eyes. Everything was a mushy brown color, all the sand started to be pulled up, mixing with the water, everything in front of and below me was turbid, but when I look up to see the surface of the water, it was shining, crystal clear even. For a bit wondered if I was gazing at Heaven and the wave was my ride to heaven, but the pain snapped me back to reality, black spots were flooding my vision while pain was wrapped around my chest. It had wrapped around me, began to trail down to my toes and rise to my head, it hurt so much, I started to feel tired, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Descriptive Essay About The Beach Ask any of your friends or family what they think of when you mention hot Summer days and I'd guess they are like a lot of mine and immediately picture beaches. Some of them may think of the always warm climates of San Diego, Miami, or even Hawaii. Some might even venture to dream of the sands of the French and Italian Rivieras. What I dream of though is just a bit different. I always imagine the words "beach day" scrawled in the sand with pieces of seashells underlining the letters somewhere along the Pacific coast of Oregon. While the western half of the state is known for its cooler and wetter climate, the Summer season can be quite temperate and makes its beaches a perfect destination for escapes from the high heat. Once you get there, in addition to simply enjoying relaxing in the sand and splashing in the water, you will find plenty of activities along the way to make many new Summer memories. Start at the northern end of Oregon's portion of Highway 101 and you will find Astoria. If you are of the generation that embraced the now classic "Goonies", you will find yourself recognizing this location immediately. Much of the movie was filmed here and there is a yearly Goonies Day celebration every June. Even if you are not a follower of the cinematic history of the area you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surrounding ocean and mountains by climbing the spiral staircase of the 600 foot Astoria Column. The Column was completed as a marker commemorating the first Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Descriptive Essay On The Beach By far one of the most beautiful and tranquil places I have visited, the Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina leaves me in awe every time. The overall beauty of the island is second to none and makes you want to stay forever. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, like when the week at the luxurious resort is over. The number of things to do on the resort is suitable for all ages and all personalities alike, from biking, shopping, recreational activities, or just going to the beach, Sea Pines truly does have something for everyone. The Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island is one of the most beautiful resorts on the east coast. Highlighted by its beautiful beaches, extensive bike paths, and world class scenery, this is a place I will never forget. Like any good resort, Sea Pines is known for its beautiful and extensive beaches. As soon as I get near the coast, I can hear the squawking of seagulls, the crashing of waves, and the low chatter of people. As I get closer, beach goers wash off the sand and salt in the outdoor shower, people are ordering food and drinks at the beach house, and kids lug boogie boards and toys off the beach to their cars. A tan, worn wooden boardwalk bridges the gap between the patio of the beach club and the beginning of the beach, gently sloping off until the sand takes over. The sand burns my feet, which is to be expected on a day that's sunny and 95 degrees. An abundance of grassy plants shield my view of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Descriptive Essay On A Beach Trip Good Mornin'! It was beautiful. It was the summer before senior year. I was invited to go on a beach trip with five other friends. Our journey started as soon as I saw the sign, "Next exit Outer Banks". When we entered the city we lived in for the week I was in awe. It was beautiful. Our house we lived in was amazing, there were two floors in the house. The lower floor had four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The boys, Robert, Luke and Jake slept in one room and the girls, Olivia, Chloe and I slept in the room beside them. The upper floor had one bedroom and bathroom, a giant living room and connected was the dining room and kitchen. When you walked out onto the upstairs balcony you could see a beautiful view. If you looked down you could see our private pool and hot tub. If you looked straight out, the ocean was right there. Everywhere you walked you could smell the strong amazing aroma of the ocean. Once everyone unpacked and settled in we all walked to the beach. The group and I was so lucky because the beach was only a block away. As soon as we walked off the walk ways that were above the dunes, my feet were on fire. I realized we were on the hot sand now. The scenery we all stepped into was breathtaking. I for one got stuck in the moment and took in the view while the world around me kept spinning. I heard Olivia yell my name to "Let's go!" She said it in such an excited voice. I ran up to her and gave her an enormous hug because I was just so happy. Chloe was so Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 20. Descriptive Essay On The Beach House When walking down the beach with my toes squishing through the sand, I knew I was where I belonged. Smiling at everyone we passed, a certain girl caught my eye. She was relaxing in a chair right at the water's edge where the waves crashed over her feet. Accompanying her was a dog with a smile from ear to ear as it pranced around in the rolling waves. Most people would simply swoon over the dog, but I knew what I was seeing was my future. Each summer my family and I travel to my uncle's beach house in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. He was able to design his own house from the ground up on his own piece of property within a private community. The property is only a short golf cart ride away from the beach entrance. I always count down the days in excitement for a stress–free weekend. I know it is my chance to finally unwind and get a true break from all the stress induced by work and school–related projects. The beach has always been my safe haven– a place where I can physically feel my head clear up and spend valuable time with my family. All throughout high school we are expected to have our futures planned out. I could never really see a clear image of what mine my entail. I could never quite pinpoint my goal in life, until I was sitting on the private beach last summer. I knew I wanted to design my own house to fit my interests. • 21. Descriptive Essay: A Day At The Beach As I arrive at the beach, I am greeted by a cluster of familiar faces of fellow family members. I slowly break away from the crowd and reach one particular vantage point from which I can gaze out at the lazy sea. Gently swashing against the shore and receding, the sea is a brilliant–blue blanket of comfort for the shore. The golden sand sways around as the waves gently deposit galaxies of seashells for my eyes to relish. I can see children playing in the mud, their feet devoured by where the sand and tide meet, it looks like a swirling pool of frothy caramel and chocolate. Avid athletes gallop up and down the shore, kicking the sand behind them. As I look towards the sea , brilliant–blue waves crash against the shore and glaring vessels of light embody the sea with a tinge of gold. A lone yacht can be seen in the tide, like a rubber duck in a bath, there is a genial glimmer in it's lights as the waves gently bobble in the distance.
