Before faith in Christ came, people were kept under guard by the law and burdened by sin. The law revealed man's sinful nature and inability to be justified by works. It acted as a tutor to bring people to Christ by faith. But now that faith has come through Jesus, who is our mediator and reconciled us to God through his blood, believers are no longer under the law's condemnation but are justified by faith, having become children of God and heirs according to his promise.

3. Gal 3:23 NKJV But before faith came, we
were kept under guard by the law, kept for the
faith which would afterward be revealed.
Before Christ came, before the faith of
Christianity came, where were we?

4. Gal 3:10-13 NKJV For as many as are of the works of the law are under
the curse; for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO DOES
NOT CONTINUE IN ALL THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THE
BOOK OF THE LAW, TO DO THEM." (11) But that no one is justified
by the law in the sight of God is evident, for "THE JUST SHALL LIVE
BY FAITH." (12) Yet the law is not of faith, but "THE MAN WHO

from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written,

enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so
as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making
peace, (16) and that He might reconcile them both to God in one
body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the
promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a

Rom 5:13-14 NKJV (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is
not imputed when there is no law. (14) Nevertheless death reigned from
Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the
likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to
come.

and men, the Man Christ Jesus, (6) who gave Himself a ransom for all,
to be testified in due time,
Heb 8:6 NKJV But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry,
inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was
established on better promises.

13. Before Faith came we were still in
School
Gal 3:23-25 NKJV But before faith came, we were kept under guard
by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. (24)
Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be
justified by faith. (25) But after faith has come, we are no longer
under a tutor.

14. But Now Faith Has Come
Gal 3:26-29 NKJV For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ
Jesus. (27) For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put
on Christ. (28) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave
