DIA DE LOS MUERTOS-
DAY OF THE DEAD
KAYLEEJO JONES
ANALYZE LEARNERS
• Seventh Grade Classroom
• 22 students: 14 girls, 8 boys
• Ethnicities: White, African American, and Latinos
• Learning Styles: Visual, Sensual, and Active
MAIN OBJECTIVE
• After giving my Seventh grade students a lecture, allowing them to watch YouTube
videos, and defining some vocabulary terms, they will explain the history and
celebrations of the Day of the Dead. In addition, after exploring the various decorations
and traditions, students will demonstrate their knowledge of this holiday through a class
celebration with a degree of accuracy around 80%.
DAY BY DAY BREAKDOWN
• Monday: Introduction, History of Dia De Los Muertos
• Tuesday: Vocabulary Terms, Decorations and Meanings
• Wednesday: Compare/Contrast
• Thursday: Create Decorations
• Friday: Dia De Los Muertos Celebration
