Daily Market Insight
Indian markets ended higher ignoring
disappointing RBI policy. The central bank
has unexpectedly left CRR unchanged
against 25 bps cut widely anticipated the
market. The RBI has also kept repo and
reverse repo unchanged. Realty, metal and
capital goods led the advance.
At the close, the benchmark 30-share
index, BSE Sensex gained 120.33 points or
0.63% at 19,364.75, Meanwhile, the broad
based NSE Nifty went up by 38.90 points or
0.66 percent and closed at 5,896.80.
Among the gainers were Bharti Airtel, up
4.23 percent at Rs.313.15; BHEL, up 4.14
percent at Rs.230.10; Tata Steel, up 3.76
percent at Rs.413.95; Hindalco Inds, up
2.66 percent at Rs.127.45; and Sun
Pharma, up 2.33 percent at Rs.736.30.
We are very much strong with our levels
and we are not changing our levels daily
one can go long with the support of 5860
and the resistance of 6010.
Outlook for the day
The markets were expecting at least a CRR cut so
to that extent the policy was a bit of a
disappointment. But the tone of the RBI has
increasingly shifted towards supporting growth
rather than focusing purely on inflation INDICES LTP Change % Change
management. Also, the policy has reinforced its
guidance on easing in the fourth quarter. So that NIFTY 5896.80 38.90 0.66%
it should appease the markets to an extent.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the banking CNX
amendment bill will be passed in Parliament 3723.35 32.85 0.89%

after the government dropped a controversial

The option data suggests that the market participants are currently
visualizing the 6000 mark on the higher side. Very high CALL writing at
6000 Strike price will stop market to move beyond 6000 mark. On the other
side we can see equal PUT writings on 5500 to 5800 strike price. This
indicates that NIFTY down move would be restricted below 5800 mark. Last
session’s option data indicated that NIFTY can have a range of 5800 and
6000 in near term.
