2. Limit the amount of tile.
Use it only on highimpact areas
like floor
If your tile is artistic and
expensive use it as an accent
alongside a cheaper tile.
3. Save on counter tops.
Don't go for neutral colors.
Consider and price out a wider
swath of colors.
Buy a slab containing
imperfections.
4. Repainting is the cheapest
and, perhaps, the most
effective way to give your
bathroom a new look.
5. By cleaning the grout and
adding straight, clean lines
of caulk around the tub and
sink, you can add sparkle for
a mere few dollars.
6. If you're having problem with your
old tub or shower have them
professionally relined instead of
replacing them. But don't do the
same with sink and shower fixtures
as they may cost more to refinish
than to replace. Buy new unless you
have an old, vintage piece.
7. Update light fixtures, sink faucets,
towel racks, and drawer pulls for a
relatively small investment. You
can also save money on fixtures,
even toilets and showers, if you
purchase them used.
