This semi-detailed lesson plan outlines a preschool science lesson on eye care. It includes objectives to identify eye care, references materials, and a three-part procedure involving a review, presentation on eye parts and care, and activities where students pick objects outside and play a naming game. It evaluates students checking pictures of proper eye care and assigns students to draw foods good for the eyes.

For me, I choose the theory of Howard Gardner. He
contributed the nine multiple intelligences: the linguistic, logic-
mathematical, musical, spatial, bodily/kinesthetic, interpersonal,
intrapersonal and naturalistic. Gardner also is formally considering
the two additional intelligences, existential and pedagogical.
This theory is a critique of the standard intelligence theory
which emphasizes the correlation among abilities. Their mission is
to understand and enhance learning, thinking and creativity in the
arts, as well as humanistic and scientific disciplines at the
individual and institutional levels.
It is related thru the behavior of an every individual
nowadays, their abilities, capacities and skills to improve learning.
Through their ability a child can perform their task, we can’t rely
the truth that a child has an individual differences, so that is why
I choose the theory of Gardner because I observed that a child
can perform anything for them to learn. Every time they do the
activities is unique and different to others, we just surprised that
someone have the hidden talent when they do freely their task
because of this multiple intelligence.
I always use this theory to improve my techniques and
strategies when I teach my children, I owe them so much for what
their skills and to do so because at this age we cannot insist them
the proper way how to behave but our goal is to have learning in
any activity for them to learn.
9. The intelligence of a child to reason out while you having a
conversation before you start the lesson it’s a one way that a child
can interact and being linguistic. Every time when we will having a
playing time activities, everyone is excited and participated. In
this activity, they think logically in how to perform their task. We
can’t neglect their performance because that is how they perform
and they learn from it. As teacher, we always tell them in a
positive way.
I am also teach my children a nursery rhymes for them to
develop their talent to enhance their skills in singing. They can also
recognize the same rhyming sound meaning and actions. Then
introducing numbers with corresponding object which found inside or
outside the classroom so that, they can understand the lesson and
of course the activity.
Every child is unique and different only a teacher how she/he
develops his/her pupils’ talent and imposes learning from the
different activities. These theories it’s only our guidelines, but we,
as teacher, has a big responsibility to mold a human mind, to inject
and to develop their abilities, skills to face the challenge in life
and being confident themselves.
Through Gardner’s theories, we can help our child being a
good leader in the future and a role model to our countrymen.
10. How to teach science to the children?
Teaching science to the learners is not an easy way for me as a
kinder teacher because I have lots of things that I would like to
consider. First, their individual differences, their behavior, interest and
those learners who are fast and slow learner.
So, this is now a challenge for me, that makes me more
confident to study and find ways how can I deliver my lesson well in
which is more valuable and executing.
In introducing science lesson, children can able to think and act
through asking questions, especially in an open-ended questions that
provide opportunities for a child to talk. And create something for new
thoughts and ideas. In dealing my lessons I always show them picture
and actual objects that needed my topic. So that, the learner can
observed, giving them an appropriate tools to manipulate, and eager
to do their task. This time a child engaged to interact more with peers,
getting to know their classmates, it’s a way of exposure to gain self-
confidence and believing themselves. Example, I introduce them the
topic about the rough and smooth object, so now, learners can find the
difference between the two objects, if she or he can touch those
things. They can now discover and think logically about relationship
between evidence and explanations, communicate their ideas to
others.
This activity can help children to clarify and rethink their ideas,
their understanding and confidence. As teacher, I let them draw, paint
or model something that describes, so that the children also can act
out a skit play or story-telling all about the topic. To find ways through
movement, song and dance, to convey their feeling and ideas.
So these activities can help more the learner, or either group or
individual activities enable children to do so. And they think again
about what they want to accomplish to achieve their goal. As teacher,
this is our task and responsibility to make our learners more
knowledgeable and through interaction, they can now gain satisfaction
and confidence.
11. HOW IMPORTANT MUSIC IN TEACHING SCIENCE?
Music is important in teaching science to make children fun in learning,
to be energize, and arousing the interest of the pupils. Music is introduced
to stimulate children imaginations, to motivate ideas and a spur creative
thought.
It’s importance of exposing young children to enhance their
educational experience and foster their academic, social and emotional
growth. Children enjoyed singing if we teach them music at this age they can
always imitate the teacher whatever she/he do. And children can easily
memorize, concentrate words and focused their attention.
Children also involve the importance of music through chanting,
knowing the sounds of the animals, making puzzle, depict the sounds when
they build with blocks, to sing a familiar song. Pupils can spontaneously
engage in rhythmic movements, moving themselves and objects in rhythmic
ways.
Music also can influence a child with their own lives and the lives of
others, it can also unite the children to discover learning and feel the
importance of music. It is important to develop the characteristic of the
child instead of being hyper and active, so now, we can find ways to make
them calm and feel the presence of the lesson. It gives children a unique
opportunities and be fluent in their thinking. They can respond also in unique
ways to listen and moving, children are able to express their ideas freely, to
foster their ability to keep time and count sequences.
Children improve in emotional well-being and enhance sensitivity to the
need of others. Especially, focus on making music, as an essential role in the
development of social skills and emotional awareness in each child. In
teaching music in science, is proven to have success among children with
disabilities, for them to communicate and open themselves to interact with
peers.
