5. What led us to switch to Video Interviews?
- 6 people recruit the entire country
- Multiple cities/jobs at one time
- Needed a way to keep qualified candidates
moving through the process while keeping them
engaged with us
- Give our decision makers as much information
as possible to make sure they were a good fit
for our family.
6. How is Video Interviewing on Jobvite Different
- Recorded vs live
- Get the same feel as a face to face interview because you
can see them
-‐ Video Interviews are a part of the workflow
- Interview attaches to the file and moves through the process
-‐ Can be a collaborative effort between reviewers for different
perspectives/evaluations and it all stays in one place!
- Watch them on your time schedule

What is really the benefit to doing Video
Interviews?
8. How to get the most out of your video interviews
-‐ Keep it simple (5-7 questions)
-‐ Treat it like a phone interview in your process
-‐ Don’t call it an interview - be creative
-‐ Give them a timeframe to create urgency and give them less
opportunity to forget
-‐ Give your landing page a personal touch/showcase your culture
-‐ Reminders that are fun but are not “pushy”
-‐ Do reviews of your questions to make sure the timing for each
answer is adequate for what you need.

10. So what were our results?
-‐ We began using video in July of 2014
-‐ Reduced our time to hire by an average of 7 days
-‐ 80% of interviews sent out were able to be
completed (everyone has a webcam these days)
-‐ Only 2% of those that didn’t complete them were
because they didn’t have a webcam
